Thank you for sharing the trip. It was awesome. Can you tell us the cost of the charging stations? It would be interesting to compare it to the cost of gas for the trip.
ОтветитьWhat about a back projection unit in place of the CRT.
ОтветитьI love all your videos, but there's something about this one :) Thank you for all the great stuff you do!
ОтветитьMr. 8 Bit Guy please keep making road trip videos. I always find them entertaining. That is whenever you go on one that is! 🤣 I mean if you were constantly doing road trips won’t get any work done. But still always enjoy them!
Ответитьnow roadtrip to vcf west
ОтветитьSadly I think you might be cursed yourself! lol 😂😢 love the channel anyway! 😂
Ответитьout of all videos that could convince me to get an electric car, i wasn’t expecting this one lol
ОтветитьI love the alleviated anxiety scenarios like "fortunately the other vehicle supercharging was about to leave." That sums up EV ownership, hopes and prayers that in the amount of time you've allocated you can accomplish your journey with the limited infrastructure available to refuel.
ОтветитьYep, that Moonbase is indeed cursed. -_-
ОтветитьEV'S are garbage
ОтветитьSo here is my story about my Tesla EV vs my V8 for Long haul trip, not that i am in Australia and will be doing the trip in Kilometres not miles. So I live 1hour North of Sydney and my cousins live on the New South Wales and Queensland border. about 860 Kilometres from my home. Taking My Tesla Model S Plad from my home to my cousins i had to stop 4 times along the way for about 30 minutes each so that is 2 hours worth of waiting and doing nothing. this turned the trip into a 2 day affair. Driving my V8 powered car i filled up with petrol about 30 mins from my home (cheapest fuel where we live) and i drove non-stop to my cousin house in just under 8 hours. I was just about out of duel when i got there (75 Litre tank)
My Tesla is great for small trips but will never use an EV for long trips again.
Such a shame that Galloping Ghost have al those amazing machines but don't bother to maintain them. That would kill me.
ОтветитьNo offense but stopping every 200 miles isn't a road trip. I non stop it from Jersey to Detroit in about 10 hours. I can do the entire trip without stopping for gas as its only 650 miles. My 2005 camry has a 720 mile range.
It shouldn't take two days. I can get from Detroit to Dallas in a day. Air cars are the future. CAE will win.
Longtime 8-Bit Guy fans remember when they used to have the BMW i3 REx.
These road trips always show us some interesting, though 😆
Hey this is great, I was there and attended the panel. I also have Bolt EUV and the info on the roadtrip is useful. Thank you for adding that.
Ответитьi would like to say, i still think doing road trips in EVs is stupid, you stop every few hours for half an hour at a time, you could have made it there in one day on petrol, it took you a day and a half. yes it is nice to stretch your legs, for like 5 minutes, i'd rather be in the car and getting to my destination quicker then stopping every few hours for half an hour
ОтветитьMust be nice having money.
ОтветитьMan,the maker of the original gigatron would be proud of the guy who made a custom one
ОтветитьThink for just a minute, how much went into the arrangement. From the CN programing. Gateway programming. The AR to work with TI. The whole buffalo. To get to the point to bring it all together and have to go from threat to consequence the end a file to start a simultaneous file while one sits in consequence all for some power and control issue. Then to throw 3 other life projects into the threat. Crazy to think of at times.
ОтветитьMan, I'm pretty sure I remember playing Stunt Cycle in the UK years ago. You had to build your speed up so as not to wheelie too much but also end up on the landing ramp. There was a similar one with a handlebar that I played at a fairground that wouldn't reset properly. Ended up wasting my pocket money trying to clear a record number of buses when I could barely ride a bike myself!
Boot Hill was a popular game round here about the same time. Must look that up - this video has bought up some great memories.
Man, you are very intelligent and all the nerds you showed are very smart indeed. You all know a great of Electronics, Computing, and so on. 👍
ОтветитьI like the old computers but I'd have to say gasoline forever for the road trip
ОтветитьOMG! We miss Pizza Ranch from the midwest!
ОтветитьEV is the future, my ass... the amount of time wasted, the planing, this is hilarious. Bro, sell that crap get a real car, you only have to stop once and it will be 5 min LITERALY.
ОтветитьAlec from technology connections looks like such a gay in that clip, and I mean that with the best intentions (I am also a gay Alec)
ОтветитьNo, no. The true Springfield is in Oregon. Even a main creator said that (he is from Portland btw). ;) 🤌
ОтветитьRevisiting, i get so totally nostalgic, and miss the "good old computertimes"!! - Levi in Sweden
ОтветитьMatt Groening is from Portland. About 100 miles North of Springfield Oregon Home of The Simpsons.
Ответитьthe next thing that goes wrong it spontaneously explodes into fire destroying the whole motherboard and the unit but leaving everything else untouched.
ОтветитьOpenpilot probably would have helped with the road trip
ОтветитьAs a middle-aged man I don't like driving much longer than 2 hours without a break.
ОтветитьDude this ia an awesome video. Both a road trio and tech video enmeshed into one. I love all your videos and channel it's so nostalgic.
ОтветитьLOVE the old tech! Thanks for sharing! What was your favorite thing to see?
ОтветитьEV's are so painful haha
ОтветитьAre you going for 2023
ОтветитьWill you ever drive along the other way of Route 66 to Los Angeles in an electric car?
ОтветитьI love the road trip summary!!!!
ОтветитьWoh, Robin looks NOTHING like I expected!
ОтветитьWhen you were talking about the arcade, the same thing is true about Funspot and arcade museum in NH. I've been a few times and games are slowly breaking down. It makes me sad because I genuinely liked playing some of them.
ОтветитьNICE AWES0ME KEEP_IT_UP! 🎉✨🎉✨🎉🎉🎎🎭🎎🎭🎎🎭🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑✨🎆
ОтветитьI actually live near Chicago and I’m so mad I missed this show I’m definitely coming next year.
ОтветитьI just kept looping the tube break for about 1 minute. Aw.
ОтветитьHey The 8-Bit Guy! Please come back to Bloomington for the Illinois Video Game Convention! It is a good time!
ОтветитьThanks that would be neat to attend the VCF!
ОтветитьMy anxiety cant deal with owning an EV. Always having to be hyper aware of my charge would not be good for me.
ОтветитьI'm curious about that particular arcade; does it have a Rave Racer machine?
ОтветитьI have just realized how EV idea is broken... Try such roadtrip on the vacation season and drive to the frequently visited region and You are... ******d... I think plugin hybrids like Toyota rav4 or prius are the most sensible way of minimizing pollution in cities, when driving in EV mode short distances and comfortable long range travel, when if not speeding like crazy you could burn < 5l/100km (46MPG). Healthy compromise. Now I am using generic Toyota hybrid (not plug in), and up to 70% of time in the city I am driving in EV mode, which equals significantly less pollution, and I am not constrained on the roadtrip, but still quite econimical (~45MPG on 4000km distance during vacation trip - I think there is still space for improvement). My next car will be probably some plugin with ~50km EV range for city and low fuel consumption for long distance travels. Pure EV's are just limited...
