What is happening to Trump in America is the same tactic they use in the UK. It's called Lawfare where the process of putting you through the legal system is the punishment rather than achieving the outcome. Demoralization is the whole point as it's more important for the establishment to break Trump than it is to stop him because the public show trial prevents most people from challenging the establishment in the future. As Bernie Sanders put it in a Twitter post after Trump lost the 2020 election "We can never let this happen again".

I feel Modi's focus is more on economic development and nationalism..Much of what he says which is seen as overzealousness..is in response to anti-hindu policies of the opposition parties..For example, congress wants to do a wealth survey and "redistribute wealth to minorities, especially muslims"..It also wants to include the 200 million strong religious group into the OBC category..which aims to give special help to various economically disadvantaged hill tribes and other very small communities..I feel pity for modi as a very small vocal group paint a false picture of this great soul through social media...Very sad
