I like to use the tip of my chainsaw bar to make a slot in the round to start the wedge in.

ОтветитьIt's oak it 🤪 like splitting iron > trust me I've split a lot of oak.

Ответитьwhat you all on about a wedge for the dead centre of Any Log pmsl x
ОтветитьThank you sir God bless you! 🙋🙏
ОтветитьI have had great success with the blue eastwing wedge, but I have to be able to start a groove with the winged maul that is your favorite one. I have hear the tips break off of the spiral wedges. I assume you could just grind it to a point again. I also always use some kind of a base under the rounds, it allows you to transmit energy to the round much more efficiently.
ОтветитьХАРД ЫНГЛЫШЪ!! )))
ОтветитьGreat video Taras! You rock!
ОтветитьMy husband suggests more than safety goggles... Steel toe aboots, Shin guards, and armored non-slip gloves 😅
ОтветитьPussies
ОтветитьI like your site, it informs me and makes me laugh....BOOM!!!
ОтветитьCut a groove with your chainsaw a couple inches deep and put the wedge in the groove. Way easier than pounding it with a sledgehammer.
ОтветитьЭто каха?
ОтветитьTwo wedgervand a maul
ОтветитьHit the sides of it and it will split
ОтветитьЯ звичайно не проти таких старань) Но розколоти набагато простіше якщо перевернути. Тойсть колоти по свіжому зрізу. Апарат класний... хотів би такий
Ответить1. You hit wood like a girl 2. hit it from the wet side 3. use your axe to create a groove for your wedge. Same principal as pre drilling screw holes 4. for real big rounds with knots, use your chainsaw to bore cut it for an easier split 5. you hit wood like a girl
ОтветитьHe doesn't know how to split wood. He should have started at the edges with the mail axe.
ОтветитьThis was an excellent video. I learned from it. Thank you for posting this.
ОтветитьUse TWO wedges on big stuff. On hardwood, like this oak.
Eye AND ear protection.
Split on hard ground (easier splitting), on the cut stump, or move log there. You can use a 4lb hammer to set wedge in wood, then switch to 8-10 lb sledge hammer.
The colder the air temp, the easier the splitting.
Fully seasoned wood -- the bark falls off. Never try to split green wood.
What type of oak? Red, black?
See she was right 🤭🤭🤭🤭
