Great video and the concept to simulate two locations, is great. I tried to recreate it as in the outlined diagrams but when I tried to connect I received the following error.
The connection was prevented because of a policy configured on your RAS/VPN server. Specifically, the authentication method used by the server to verify your username and password may not match the authentication method configured in your connection profile. Please contact the Administrator of the RAS server and notify them of this error.
My DC is working well.
My VPN1 is a member server and has Internet access
My VPN2 is a workgroup and has internet access as well
Anyone can provide a clue to solve it?
Thank you
PPTP is very outdated and should be avoided now. L2TP is also best avoided. IKEv2 over IPSEC is much more secure.
ОтветитьGood evening. I am a student and I have as theme the configuration of a vpn site to site on windows server with the l2tp protocol. I try to follow your procedure but I receive the error message 807 at the end of the configuration. I would be delighted if you would help me finalize my report.
Ответитьhey how to connect rhem via the router??
Ответитьok
Ответитьmay i know the port number to be open on both sites to access both site from WAN ??
ОтветитьBrilliant many people dont know that on demand exist in RAS so they add a tasktask scheduler for VPN login which is really unstable! This guide is perfect if you looking for a solution to add various site only as klient.
ОтветитьHello Sir.. If I want to connect two sites (locations) then what are the methods to connect?
ОтветитьMicrosoft: Static Routes for Remote Networks: "To ACTIVATE this demand-dial connection ...". A C T I V A T E ?!?!?! You must add a static route to the network. OK, Which network ?!??! Specify the IP address of the remote networks, this network will communicate with. To be correct, those networks would have to be adjacent, to be able to be specified with ONE address and a subnet mask. This network and remote network. Imprecise again.
ОтветитьMicrosoft: "Route IP packets ON this interface". What would mean "route ON" ? Confusing again. Not route through, but ON.
ОтветитьOne private address for VPN01 and the 2nd private IP address for VPN02. Extremely confusing.
Ответитьthank you very much

ОтветитьThank you very much. Another very well presented video. Always appreciate them.
Your scenario seems to be related to two offices being connected to the Internet with public static IP's and VPN tunnel between them with Windows.
I am looking to interconnect three locations where one is the head office over ADSL at each location using Windows VPN.
The ISP ADSL provides dynamic IP's so how do I create VPN tunnels from two branch offices to head office over ADSL with Windows VPN?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for this very helpful video! Would it be possible to use Windows Server Routing and Remote Access to connect one Windows Server to a site-to-site IPSec VPN on a Cisco ASA?
