I have 400sqft apartment with a small open living room/kitchenette floor plan. I love your ideas on making the space look bigger and more cohesive but do you have any videos or ideas on making the space flow but without feeling cluttered? This is a struggle for me. I’m in love with the Modern Victorian/Dark Academia aesthetic.

love the rooms we have 2 dogs so we need darker colors ,i hate my wires and have been wanting to hide them for ages but the sockets are on a different wall for my living area as tv on chimney and my laptop is on my dressing table with a large tv above and the cables only just reach at a silly angle with a gap between 2 wires so i am thinking off using the same laminate on the floor to run up the wall its a dark grey oak look and a lighter dark grey emulsion i will put batons first ,its hard to visualize i asked my daughter but she said o no i thought it would look great .i add some lights too ,and maybe a floating drawer shelf for the lap top not sure what color ,it uses up spare laminate lol .

I am moving in May into a small 650 square foot apartment and overwhelmed with searching for furniture. I want everything to go with each other and have to worry about getting it to too crowded

....These are good tips that many are aware of, but it's a good ' reminder " , or a refresher if one is re-arranging a space or doing an update of some sort , be it painting, furniture changes, etc.
I respectfully disagree with the " lamps " portion, because every room needs different levels of lighting, and table lamps offer that , as well as providing different types of light... " mood lighting ", task lighting or just creating a warm ambience in a room. I detest wall lighting for reading, etc, as it does not allow one to move things around if one wishes to " change the furniture arrangement ", etc. For places that just soft ambient light is desired, low light wall sconces are lovely. I love having a lamp in my kitchen, it offers a different type of light and is pleasant to have in place of harsh task lighting ,when one does not need to use the Task lighting.

What color furnitures to pair with grey floor and white wall?
