A question, i wanted to study data sicentist in a bootcamp, it takes arround a year. Is this te best option? i would able me to work as a scientist or an analyst if it is the requeriment?

i am bachelors student pursuing psychology, suddenly i have this urge to become a data analyst but i have no tech background! only thing to my support are the certification programs available online! i want to ask you that is this field for me and will i be able to compete with people who have dedicated degree's in this field if i rely only on certificates from various sources and work my way up? will the companies that i apply to select me over a person who has a degree just on the basis that i have better skill?

Yo I have a problem with a system app on my android, I can't access it due to a UI problem. I'm an aspiring writer and I wrote a lot on my phone and now I can't access all my work and I have no idea who to turn to for help because all the phone repair shops around me told me if they can't solve the problem quick they won't even attempt to. I'm a statistician, which I think is even more confusing for many folks. IMO statistician and data scientist are equivalent.

I focus more on causal inference/counterfactual modeling rather than predictive modeling (machine learning) but good data scientists should be familiar with both areas.

these jobs sound very specific. Does anyone believe those crash courses would be able to secure a job? I’m not an IT guy but I did tech high school (html, php, delphi and vb) - that was long time ago lol - and advanced excel. My local university offers a 24 week bootcamp in data analysis.
