Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 1958 a new midsize SUV worth the PRICE?

Here it is in the flesh! Tell me what you think about the starting price for this entry grade 1958 Land Cruise.

I like it because it looks cheap

Toyota off-road enthusiasts wanted an, "affordable" Land Cruiser. Well, you got it.

My thing is........IF you can (comfortably) afford a 300 series, why would you want THIS one? If you can COMFORTABLY afford a 300 series, then the price of gas is a non-issue. +300,000 mile 5.7 V8.......8,100lb towing capacity, tow hooks, and 9 inches of ground clearance.

Not an auto mechanic, but I don't trust the long-term durability of a 4 cylinder turbo engine.........even from Toyota.

Can’t accept 55k US dollars for a SUV contains lots plastic parts,manually adjusting seats.

The doors have the old scool orange locks. Brings back memories. And the seats are like grandmas couch.

Hybrid system malfunction isn't something i would want to see during a ratings video.

How do you go from flagship truck and major $$ to mid 50's? I smell a rat. They cheaped out somewhere. Where?

Man this thing is ugly, bloated, and has a ridiulously low front plasic bumper. A real downgrade form the looks of the 1978 model released elsewhere.

Toyota messed up big time making this starting 55k.

Spare underneath means it will collect all the mud, dust, dents from stones and small gravel from the road, and eventually will look like 💩 before it even used.

I really like it, but that price tag isn't matching up.
Rubicon money for a base+ tier trim is ridiculous.
You could buy a Tundra limited crew max with 4x4 and TTV6 hybrid for just $5k more.

In 2023/2024 automobiles manufacturers should stop using cloth seats it doesn’t last…

Would be great if it came in a 2 door version. Lots of people don't need nor want such a long vehicle.
Where is the front facing camera? Will need that with that high front end.
So happy that Toyota is moving past that "iPod stuck on to a dashboard" look and is finally integrating displays into their dashe0\s, as they should.
Wondering about having just a 4 banger in such a large & heavy vehicle. Should at least be a diesel

I like the car but it could be better. Bigger wheels, Tire on the back, could be more luxurious inside.

I'll snack one of these cruiser since it's my childhood biggest admirer full size SUV. Glad Toyota decided to bring this iconic name back to the masses and wow land cruiser enthusiast one more time. It's been 13 years or so since I last saw one of these. Again couldn't wait for the release. Nice content as always raiti

it is not land ruiser, it is Prado...

Compared to the new Bronco, this Land Cruiser makes the choice an absolute no-brainer. Legendary Land Cruiser capability and Toyota reliability. My money would definitely go to Toyota.

this one has a very modern interior which is not great, could have gone a bit more classic.

It's looks good, but it reminds me of a longer dodge nitro at least the rear

For this price point, you get way more value and reliability than with a Jeep Wrangler.

Hey Joe, what do you guys think of this looking exactly like a 2008 Nissan Xterra? If Nissan had paid enough attention to their Xterra, this is what the modern one would loo like. It seems Toyota rebadged the design of the Nissan Xterra and call it the new Land Cruiser.

This just might be my first new vehicle 😮
