Honestly I was waiting for Chris reaction toward the suggestion for Dapper 😂😂😂😂😂
It's a really good hidden lesson in this video unrelated to the topic but it's important to learn about good way to give feedback without being too nice or too rude.

Also loved how fast the Dapper started from the beginning of it, Very Smart move to summarize and remember everything.

I've always appreciated that statement, Observe others with no judgement. It helped me understand my judgement is for me walking so I don't step into a pot hole, it is not to judge other people. Judgement is used to keep one safe, not to put others down. I enjoyed this very much, thank you.

I'm curious, why is there tape on your hat? I'm also wondering why it's important to wear a hat with tape, instead of taking the hat off for this video? I'm feeling highly distracted, moderately perplexed, and mildly anxious watching this video because of the tape. Help me understand. Thanks!

Hi Chris - Long time follower here; I remember you posted a couple months back about how designers should embrace new tools such as AI to iterate on their deliverables quicker. I'm curious if your opinion's changed at all with the most recent developments regarding the various lawsuits from artists against companies like MidJourney, OpenAI, etc. which all use copyrighted material within their models, effectively violating copyright laws for granting users the ability to create content mathematically based off (not just "referencing") work that's supposed to be protected? Have you been affected by any of this? I feel like artists and designers nowadays have been forced into a race to the bottom, where in order to have their pricing compete with others' in the market, they'd almost forcefully have to implement AI into their workflows, without taking the appropriate time and care to think of the repercussions this has on the broader visual arts industry. There's lots of nuances to the topic, and I'm really not against the technology itself; it just makes me sad to think I lost my job to a Midjourney subscription, and would love to hear a much more experienced professional within an agency setting give their thoughts on the matter.

Been talking about the platinum rule for almost 30 years I learned it from a very successful entrepreneur as a teenager and I learned it so long ago and for so many people not to even be aware that it exists always boggles my mind and I like seeing this guy speak on it because from the few years I've been following him I have a feeling of respect for what he does

You give a lot of great value The only weakness I see is you tend to speak to adults in an educated way. While that is my favorite form of communication it doesn't work in all cases. I think your content could add another level of value if you metaphorically said the same thing but produced the content as if it were on sesame Street. Like if you did the videos for kids.

When I use an AI chatbot I often have to tell it to write at a sixth grade level because for some reason people have a resistance to anything that's even mildly complex.

I mostly have worked in nightclubs in New York but moved to Virginia to help a family member to attain elected office in 2006 and he's been reelected ever since I am a problem solver and I see openings where others don't

Refreshing to hear when most self development talks by influencers nowadays try to instill the main character syndrome inspired by the ego. This is such a great and humble approach to do a deep dive on how we can be better for ourselves and those around us. Appreciate all you guys have done for so many years, and I'm excited to see where this pivot into new subjects leads you!

Holy cow! Okay one more remark - and my first over long one, regarding your personal style of dress, which was superficial and I hope you take in the spirit in which it was meant to be- comes nowhere NEAR the powerful message of your thoughts and words in this remarkable video. Chris, I just want to thank you for sharing your views and ideas on personal change and the views we tend to hold onto that inhibit us from taking the steps toward a new life. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, you’re right up there with Watts!

Chris I gotta tell ya - I’ve watched several of your videos, mostly about typography and design, which is one of my interests. Tonight I came across this video and I’m at a point in my life where this is really relevant. I’m only at the beginning but I really want to make this unusual comment / observation that I’ve noticed about you. It is about your personal “style” and I think it lends you tremendous credibility, in addition of course, to what you actually have to say. Sorry for the lengthy comment and please don’t mistake my meaning here, the way that you dress, the way you wear your cap and the glasses you choose, in almost all cases, in my mind, are indicative of a ‘poseur’ of a particular variety. Not you though. Not only do I respect your style, regardless it seems to be often imitated in some way - you positively RADIATE authenticity, in part BECAUSE of the particular style you choose to show to the world. Certainly it’s not only your style, your ideas and thoughts and experience in graphic design speak loud and clear in that as well. I really think highly of the rare individual who express themself as eloquently as you do in every way and I’m listening intently to what you have to say in this video. Not trying to flatter you here with any of this, just offering my opinion on what I can see, for whatever it might be worth to ya. You strike me as one of those rare and exceptional individuals, thanks and I hope you keep it up!

As a guy that owns a Parking company, I can say he is 100% correct. If you try to dispute a parking ticket like a jackass, then you are 100% going to get denied, but if you show even a little humility, we are all just people, and we’ll be more understanding.

Much needed video and you should definitely do the full length version on the topic it would be very beneficial. A lot of these things don’t come natural or get spoken about enough of to make people aware. I’m stuck in the place of finding it hard to accept but me making change is necessary.

And in terms of you thinking people that have watched for awhile would be thinking it’s a new direction- not at all you guys have always spoken to some degree on the things that prevent us in business and life from achieving what we want.
