helmets dont matter in this game Period.

when you don't know anything about any of these helmets except for the SSH because you're a poor boi that lost all of your gear in the first few raids and are stuck in a perpetual loop of dying to sweathards and don't really know any better.

You see it all stats and statistics until someone busts out the steel core and ruins your raid

So today I got a headshot from a dude with a PS Round right in my Altyn Face Shield it one shotted me, I was so fucking upset about this 😂

I wear helmets mostly to protect myself from my friends tapping me in the back of the head during a firefight

why does everyone always forget about my ZSH 1-2 man ;( or whatever it’s called the bitchy level 3 or 4 one that has a face shield that’s level 3 i think. i use it to keep the scav shotguns at bay, and it’s amazing.

Dont know why the diamond age doesnt have a mandible option considering the company sells one separately in real life and it looks so badass there even working on a rifle rated mandible but have had some issues but I think they might actually succeed in making the worlds true best helmet mask combo in real life and unlike most others with a mask has great visibility and to top it off no glass face shield to worry about getting fogged up

Calls 2 helmets and class 1 helmets do stop PM 9x18 Makarov bullets. I have survived a few times by players trying to rat me out. But hey I would rather keep my hearing than be save by that tiny chance you run across someone with a pee shooter.

You didnt mention the ZSh-1-2m helmet?

At this point that is the middle wipe..I m not using anymore helmet...only if I Found one or I use ulach from time to time...the Green one...it is less expansive

vulkan helmet id never buy it but secretly its my lucky hat. safed me from two headshots in one game. one in the faceshield and one in the helmet.

Altyn is kinda weirdly op in this game. As Oxide tested, i think it should be in class 4, since it may or not withstand the 5.45 from aks-74u. As i figured out, the armor classes in the game are not the same class system in real life, for the helmets at least, everything with bodyarmor is fine.

Good guide but only thing I found was missing was looking at the actual useful durability vs the listed durability. i.e looking into material differences of the helmets as they have a modifier on how far that durability goes and how many shots it will take specially with current vector metas and stuff right now.

Pro tip - use none as you're gonna get shot in the "head, eyes" anyway no matter what you wear, outside of using a shield.

People say that the Ronin isn't worth using and I used to think the same.
But taking all factors into consideration, the Ronin isn't as bad as it seems.

Full lvl 3 head protection, high ricochet chance, no hearing penalty, and no blurry screen from wearing a visor.

Tbh I stopped using helmets entierly. I'm low level so can't affort the higher end helmets that might actually do shit but god do the tier 3 helmets do nothing. There wasnt once that they protected me from a headshot. Probably worth using early wipe but this late when everyone has the best bullets. Not worth it at all. Just sell em.

Edit: Before anyone comments yes I am aware they won't protect me from eye and jaw shots but I got "top of head" killed so many times while wearing em so I think they're useless currently.

Regarding the tactic with the SLAAP plate and the kek helmet: if someone shoots in the spot where you mount your NVG, there actually is no class 5 protection. Counts to the helmet laying under the plate. Otherwise helpful vid.
