Trying Out Google Stadia 2 Years Later...

In my experience the tech itself is really solid, but everything else is pretty incoherent

I play destiny 2 competitively using stadia on my smart phones mobile Google Fi internet.

Love stadia as a casual gamer, been using it since start and it is awesome that when I want to jump on I can play for a couple hours without needing to update anything. Also the free games are great.

I bought stadia controller and played with android phone and it was the best gaming experience. Just sad that google effort on gaming is underrated and I hope any people try out!

All Google needed to do was team up with Valve instead of trying to monopolise (like they always do). Steam Link already exists, yes, but it's nowhere near the same level as Stadia especially as you are using your own hardware.

The most frustrating thing is that you can't use this solid controller on any other platform and PC :( I hope they will release some updates in the future that allows at least to use it on pc

Thank you for being so objective. I personally love stadia and I completely agree with your points on it. I was never a big fan of cloud gamin. But I got rid of my ps4 and use stadia as a transition point towards my ps5. But honestly. My internet is too tier and its is freaking amazing. Idk if I want to get a ps5 now bcuz Stadia just keeps blowing my mind. I have not latency input lag. But that's only bcuz of my 5g. I might have a different opinion if my internet weren't as good. But google really did come through (I'll admit that they didn't deliver out the gate) I actually like the controller better than anything ife ever felt though.

Can we do PC VR over Stadia without a PC just using my Oculus Meta Quest 2? WHY!?! Alyx, DOOM, and Cyberpunk should be up and running by now in VR!

I've recently tried Destiny 2 on Stadia and am pretty pleasantly surprised by it. I got no noticible input lag despite my terrible internet connection. Makes me wonder why it has such a bad reputation.

My problem with Google Stadia is that it doesn't have Tetris. When your game service doesn't have a port of the most ported video game ever then there's something wrong with it.

They advertise a free tier for trail, for the life of me the only thing I could find was to subscribe and pay $9.99 a month Before you could even try the service. totally gave up on it

Stadia is far from dead. I use it entirely for my exclusively online games, and playing my PS5 for single player titles.

I play Stadia here and there, I obviously don’t prefer it over my Switch or Xbox Series X, but I play games like AC: Odyssey and Destiny 2, and for the most part, they run well and look good for a streaming service, although I use Stadia way less than I used to, I still like using it and I think it’s overhated

I could see including a physical device for home with a multi-disk input to decrease lag while on the go.

Like remote play for the systems.

The internet connection does not need to be super fast, 50mbps is enough but it has to be stable and consistently be at the required speed. I also thought that buying a game at full price only to end up streaming it is weird but even on other platforms you aren't buying the games either, you are basically leasing it for as long as the publisher supports the game. It's not like the PS2 era when the game you bought was truly yours for as long as the CD kept working.

The major problem, if I put graphics aside, with Stadia is the amount of games that don't and will never come to the platform. If you wanted to play RE2 on stadia. Your still waiting
