I had a 95 sc400 with a 1uzfe. It was a great engine. I cleaned and ported the intake manifold and that made a very nice difference. Some build up was restricting airflow.

Early 94 and before are best bet for supercharger or turbo; someone in the forum did an analysis and it ended being anything before 94 at best had thick rods; just open up the heads; supercharge or twin turbo it. Have funt w that. Ecu suspension should be first. Remember a car is only as good as it’s driver tires and brakes. So basically ur good w older v8 just please be safe… the v8 has enough torque low end wise to remind you driving expertise is required. V8 vs 4 cylinder is different. Gap them rings; for boosted environments…. 2j has handled power at 800 at the track..

The first 1uz really only made about 230 horsepower, at the crank despite what they said. Be revived models did make power more closely to their rated values

It doesn't feel like a 32 valves engine because I guess they should it come with twin turbo but anyway that car is so smooth and is good on gas mileage too is awesome that's what happens when someone designed something to last I'm sure Cadillac can make something similar to that but GM are so greedy that will never happen

That's one of the best engine's in the world they last forever reliable and cool V8 engine I mean they don't have a lot horse power but I'm sure you can make it faster than stock a friend of mine have a Lexus 400 with 458,000 on it and still runs perfectly

The one I've been thinking about is using the RX8 because I love it suicide rear doors and you can pick them up for next to nothing when the water pumps fail I have a 2uz in my shop that needs something to go in but ill most likely put those heads on a early 1uz shortblock

Standalone first. Then forced induction before cams upgrade. And ideally, spend the extra couple hundred for a 3UZ. Same block, just extra sturdiness and an extra 0.30 displacement.

Holy crap you get sponsorships from guys like AEM..i really wish I had a lambda gauge for some "ongoing" diagnosis. I see many on amazon but I don't know if they are worth installing.

Could you make a video on the quality of Amazon/ Chinese type auto instrumentation?

As far as what can be done about the heads, swapping the higher flowing 3uz heads is possible, they have the same dimensions and stud pattern I believe.
