To those who do end up getting the game on Steam, make sure to leave a positive review, as that helps out the visibility for the game a lot!!!
Ответитьnice to see your evolution!
ОтветитьI really want this type of video talking about this specific topic but it's so rare this was the only video i could find about it.
ОтветитьWell done! I'll play this on stream sometime
ОтветитьWhere are you from? Your accent is like, exactly like the sunfire elves in The Dragon Prince— somehow so pleasant to listen to!
ОтветитьThe "feel" can make or break a game for me and just by how it looks in your game, I am itching to play it! I'm playing 2d platformers since I wanna make my own eventually.
ОтветитьPlease tell me how you did those post processing effects, it almost looks like shaders it looks gorgeous!
ОтветитьThe game turned out so good. I loved the movement a ton, would love to see another platformer from you, maybe something more like mario this time
Ответитьsir, you are a legend! any way I can get my hands on the code of your game? or do you have a course for that game that emulated the celeste movements quite fine IMO? my game is currently on hold but when I get back to working on it again, I'd like to update the movement, slopes and moving platforms ^^
Ответитьhow to do a ledge hop?
ОтветитьI buy this game and it very cool
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьNice progress looks really good!
Ответитьi remember when ken uplaoded content
Ответитьidk if it's me but you sound like you have a french accent
ce serait cool
Never been a fan of platformer, I just think they're boring since it's pretty much the same gameplay for every game.
However, to start game dev it's fairly good because it's one of the easiest genres you can start with.
You got that wrong, for most platformers especially metroidvanian ones, the jump should be fast and the fall should be slow (kind of floaty).
ОтветитьI bought your game.
Cool concept with being able to change movement abilities on the fly.
Movement feels alright but not Celeste level.
Game is extremely short. I finished it in 30 minutes.
But not bad at all.
I'm trying this myself lately and it's really, really hard to get the movement just right.
Ответитьcan you please make a tutorial for the end lighting and effects
ОтветитьIt looks very polished. I love the art style. I have to buy and try it later. Well done.
ОтветитьXavier Naidoo the cat!
ОтветитьHow you coded the own rigidbody and physics? Is there a tut for it? :)
ОтветитьBroos "r"s💀
ОтветитьGreat insight! Can't wait to see more!
ОтветитьBro you have a great ton of potential
ОтветитьI want a tutorial course to this jumps :)
ОтветитьNot checking the game purely because of the title of this video. Who tf are you to decide what is excellent and what is not. Loser.
ОтветитьI wonder when the number of platform games released will surpass the one trillion mark
Ответитьgood share
ОтветитьI wish this was a Wii U game
Ответитьvery very cool, i really loved the post-processing? you did with the graphics to make the lights glow and shadows and stuff im very curious how that is done
Ответить69k views nice.
ОтветитьI just started making my game project for study last night and I love this conversation because this helped me make strategies and it allowed me to organize my thoughts through out the process. I am so interested in pushing stuff forward and it felt crazy fun to build such things all over. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьXavier is not a name i will choose for a cat, just saying. Keep it up doing more levels or making the game look prettier. The base seems perfect for me, maybe the game feeling kinetics will not be my type. But congratulations for all of your effort you deserve all succes you would get. And probably more
ОтветитьYour art looks really similar to Celeste. (But please don't take this as a criticism, it looks really good.)
ОтветитьWonderin if you tried pizza tower before, that game is wario land 4 and sonic mania on crack
Ответитьyour character looks like Madeline
ОтветитьFr ?
Ответитьyour accent screams dutch
Ответитьdude, that seed planting for abilities idea is absolute gold
ОтветитьYour game looks great! Love the lighting effects. I'll have to try it this weekend :)
Ответитьmaking your player fall faster than they when they jump isn't a good design. unless you're trying to make every jump feel oppressively heavy and effort intensive, that is. in real life the trajectory of a jump is obviously a parabola, but some games use different curves. no matter what kind of jump trajectory you implement, it should generally be a symmetrical curve.
ОтветитьOri's platforming is not that good tbh
Ответитьi like the video, but the audio isn't clear enough for me and the background music is too loud compared to it.. or rather the way you speak is more "soft" and then the volume is increased
Ответитьloved the menu
