ОтветитьOh I was trying to come up with something like this for such a long time. Since I have another profession, I never got the proper time to dedicate to coming up with an ingredient prep for quick mid-week recipes, I'm so relieved finally someone, did this for VEGANS!!

I have been cooking for years and still, this video managed to inspire me to switch it up and try this style of prepping! Nisha, you are a genious :) i love this method! I don't have to stress about everything during the week now. I know these tips seem very obvious, but actually they are not. Right now in my fridge i have rice cooked, cabbage prepped, tofu and beans as well.. and this is only because i havent prepped that much yesterday.. thank youuuu
ОтветитьI have done ingredent prep for three years now and it is just the best. My boyfriend and I use a veggie dicinger to speed things up. We prepare diced onions, celery root, carrot, one type grain/carb (lentils, rice, beans), fried mushrooms, diced tofu that we marinade on prep day, pickled onions. Our tofu prep is a bit time consuming but worth it. I will buy three to four packs of tofu at a time, throw them into the freezer until solid, take out the freezer the next morning, and put back into the freezer in the eve. I then thaw a block whenever I want to make tofu the next day. You wont believe the texture you get from that proceudre. It is soo differtent from non-frozen tofu. It is crucial to keep the tofu in the package though as it is the freezeing and expanding liquid that does the job of changing texture. I've converted a few tofu-haters into lovers with that technique. :)

The crispy beans are so good, I'm impressed! And if you don't have cherry tomatoes just cut a normal one. Big hug from us!

ОтветитьIts interesting to me how similar this meal prep is to what I do with my job at a small meal kit company. Doing some of the steps again of time streamlines the cooking process and makes it easier to actually make the meal when your motivation is low and you are feeling hangry. Love this.

ОтветитьThank you! Chose to skip one of your meal prep video earlier because I'd rather eat something very simple than reheat food. This is really cool to eat well and freshly cooked food. Heard vitality leaves the cooked food after 1h30 so better eat fresh to have more than just macro/micro nutrients in food
ОтветитьThis is the first time you've come up in my recommendations and I must say I really enjoyed this video. I absolutely love this style of meal prep and I do similar but I spend longer prepping and freeze what I am able. More like bulk prep so when its time to cook my garlic is minced and tastes fresh, my mushrooms are cooked and just need flavour, my onions are carmelized and just need to be incorporated. Makes cooking way easier and faster!
You've definitely given me some ideas of what to prep in smaller quantities that can be stored in the fridge for meals in the very near future.

This video is wonderful! I’ve done the prep twice now, since you can buy several items in bulk, and it’s so good! I’d love to see this as a seasonal thing, like 1 hour winter soups/stews or 1 hour summer salads/wraps! Great job!

ОтветитьLoved this meal prep. Doing even a little ahead makes it possible to have some of the fussier items I might otherwise skip midweek like sauces. Can you tell me how many portions each recipe was for? I was thinking it seemed like 2-3?

ОтветитьThank you. Thank you for your content. I tried everything you said and for the first time and for once I did not have to adjust a recipe because it lacked flavour. You delivered 1000%. I don't own a Instant Pot so couldn't purchase your cookbook. I would definitely purchase any of your upcoming books. The only other cook books I have purchased was Jamie Oliver's. I think you are on par and way better for ease of use as I transition from keto to Vegan. Again thank you for all your hard work.

Ответитьjust made the creamy herb sauce (delicious!), and once I'd tipped as much of the sauce as I could get out of the blender I added three sad-looking mini cucumbers, some more water, and ice to the blender jar and blended it up again to make an extremely lazy and extremely tasty glass of chilled soup (I want to call it gazpacho but I do not want to summon the wrath of the great nation of Spain). I recommend doing this before washing up the blender jar!
