Hi Kristen. I love your ideas, we currently bought a new home and the cabinets in the kitchen are high end yet a little dated with braided molding. We want to change the counter tops and have the island maybe changed to make it more modern. I wish I could send you pics to show you. It’s really an easy fix I believe I’m just stuck. Thanks

We just bought a new home and it is as builder grade as they come. The previous owner hardly did anything and we are almost starting from scratch.
We are on a budget so won’t be able to make drastic changes but to elevate the kitchen, I am planning on re-painting the chrome cabinet knobs to black or gold, what type or brand of paint would you suggest ?

During lockdown I painted my small kitchen, 10x8, lower, upper and back wall deep turquoise, it was bold and fun. Now tired of it, going into shabby chic French style kitchen, since the handles are copper from 1974. Just a base coat feels much more peaceful, baskets art, plants.

the only thing with a slab-splash -- if you ever accidentally crack part of it, ya gotta remove the entire slab. :(

First tip to make your kitchen look lux/expensive = buy expensive ass rug and random other expensive shit.
Gotcha, but i cant afford a $200 rug in a place it will get damaged or constantly need washed and need replaced faster

Hi! We bought a house and I wanted to update the kitchen its got the granite and wood cabinets but I'm not sure if I should spend to change the granite to quartz or repaint the cabinets or both. The floor is also oakwood color which I'm debating if I restain to white washed or naturalwood

Hi I really enjoy your videos, they look pretty straight forward and reasonably priced that any do it yourselfer could do. I'm thinking of putting in upholstered bench seating in my kitchen. Do you have any suggestions on how to create cozy bench seating,we have a southern exposure and a large window where the table is located.

The whole point of rugs in a kit hen is to reduce fatigue when standing and cooking for long periods of time. Clearly you don't do that. I'll take my chefs mats for function over pretty any day

I watched to the end just in case you addressed a big problem. I love the look of cupboards to the ceiling BUT I am 5'2" so how exactly do I store or reach anything up there? I thought of a library rail and ladder or a hidden step stool BUT seems like "look" is not conducive to everyday kitchen use.
