If there were no lug holes on this case how would you remove the bracelet?
ОтветитьEpic watch...perfectly proportioned.
ОтветитьI got lucky being born in 94, I got my submariner from my birth year and it’s exactly the model I wanted. Now I really want an explorer from early 2000s
ОтветитьHi, anyone knows the weight of the 14270?
ОтветитьI originally bought a bb36 because I wanted something that looked like an explorer and i did love it, but I found myself watching videos on explorers all the time still. Went ahead and sold the bb36 and got a 14270 for a great price in great condition. I SUSPECT I’m done buying watches now😂
ОтветитьHi Cam! Which jacket are you wearing here? Is that a Schott? Thank you for the video.
ОтветитьI find my Rolex collection is very much migrating to early 90’s, tritium, lug holes examples. This neo-vintage era is quickly become by my favourite era (I’ve add a 16610, 16570 and most recently a 14270, just need to eventually find a nice 16700 GMT).
ОтветитьThere are no Explorer 1 models only Explorer & Explorer II.😀😀😀😀😀😀
ОтветитьI bought a 14270 x series three days ago.
It is really really nice .
Subtlety & Simplicity are in fact the ultimate sophistication !
ОтветитьHe sounds so much like Anderson Cooper.
ОтветитьBeautiful. I own the latest iteration of this piece. But if I could pull off a 14270 ❤
ОтветитьAparte de gay me parece muy soberbio y arrogante. Pobre tipp
ОтветитьI love how this watch featured so many transitionary elements.. from lume material to solid linked bracelet, from matt to glossy dial. As someone born in year 1989 (same year the explorer I was released), feel like this watch fits perfectly the transitions you experience in your own life. Growing up in the 90s transitioning into 2000s new tech internet era until start of working life marking the discontinuation of ones conscience free youth :D I think i need this watch!
ОтветитьI'm looking to get in to vintage Rolexes and want to start with something like the 14270. What is important to look for on the market? Great video btw!
Ответить"Pierced-Lugs" is the correct way to say, never say "Holes-Case", okay... ;)
ОтветитьWhat’s the jacket? Schott?
ОтветитьI want to purchase one but going to wait at least six months. The flu financial depression might effect prices by then. Speculation on my part but I aient got no dog in the fight yet.
ОтветитьGreat video man! I subbed. Really like how you talk about watches.
ОтветитьReally wished you would show the watch more.
Ответитьone of the most beautiful watch i've ever seen. hope i can buy 14270 someday!
ОтветитьHey sir I have a question. Does the 14270 get tight when you are winding it and stop after a out 30-40 turns? Everything I read says they are supposed to have a slip clutch that protects it from over winding, and the crown just keeps turning. But I'm wondering if this feature started with the cal 3130?
ОтветитьI thought all 14270 had hollow end links. SEL didn’t exist on the Explorer line until the 2001 114279
ОтветитьLove this watch! I recently purchased a 14270 from 1993. Its got this crazing effect frosted/spider dial.. I dont know if this is a positive thing or a negative thing.. I dont mind it personally but just wondering what your opinion is!
ОтветитьAnother great video sir. Keep up with the great content!
ОтветитьThe birth year watch point is smart. I’d rather have a better condition from the era of my birth instead of a sub par one sold on the day of my birth.🤷🏻♂️
ОтветитьCorrection: this watch is on my wrist now :) love the purchase
ОтветитьAdd “leverage” to the description of anything to sound smarter!
Ответить"other than the dial , hands and movement the 1016 remained unchanged durings its production " LOL
ОтветитьI really enjoy all your videos, amazing choice of watches, and always some interesting facts. But I wish the video quality was a bit better. Maybe try less compression? Smaller aperture so that more stuff is in focus? Camera with better AF? I’m not sure, but I do wish I could see those sweet watches in crispy sharp 4K, or even sharper 1080 for that matter.
Anyways, it’s just a thought. I’ll keep watching even without it :).
Currently looking for an Explorer 1. Still not decided on 14270 or the updated 114270. Anyone know if the solid end links make a big difference in quality of fit?
ОтветитьNice video could be a lot more informative about the watch objectively like your previous videos, Bark & Jack and TGV do a rally great job explaining this watch!
ОтветитьLove the videos but your videographers need to sort out their focusing issue. It is so distracting looking at a focused backdrop with a blurred subject...
ОтветитьThis Watch is so cool 😎
ОтветитьClassy casual clean and sturdy ..❤👌
ОтветитьAnother great video my man. Neovintage is definitely the way to go now in days. Looking good with that fresh quarantine haircut!
ОтветитьThey certainly seemed to do a great deal of leveraging. ; o)
ОтветитьBeen waiting for this one! Wearing my ref. 114270
ОтветитьThanks Cam, you know back in the day I passed on a couple of really nice 1016’s purely because they are too small on my wrist and now I keep thinking about getting one again but knowing the price the 1016’s were then and what they go for now I can’t bring myself to do it Lol
Currently waiting on a explorer 39 but if that takes too long maybe this is the answer.
Cheers mate
Got my 114270 for the updated movement and so the indexes and the Arabic numerals stayed the same color. Wish they updated the numerals with the ones found on the 116000 OP just for consistency. But w/e I love my explorer 1 regardless. Great episode guys, stay safe.
ОтветитьI have no idea why you don't have 100k subscribers. You have incredible vintage watches you don't see anywhere else. Keep it up!
