the problem with using aerith as i see it is the game does not allow you to use her for very many chapters as a result she is my lowest leveled character.

How to get them?

other weapons stats will add even not equipped? or only the equipped ones thanks.

Seems a shame to have just a single attack magic materia on your primary mage but I guess the difficulty on hard just enforces this. I am prepping for hard and wondering why I bothered with ward, synergy, time, cleansing and subversion!

I like just using the base weapons. I only use the other weapons to gain the skills then I go back to the starting weapon lol

This setup is really good! The only times I had to change to a different build in Hard Mode was with Hell House and Rufus, and I destroyed all the other bosses on my first or second try. I even beat the Harbinger and Sephiroth on my first try with it. One of my proudest platinums to date. Thank you for the quides that helped me along the way! <3

I can’t stand that they made cloud a red mage. Literally pisses me off. First game I ever finished when I was 12 on the original. Cloud takes Zacks persona and abilities. It’s not until he comes together when he is lost in the life stream with Tifa. Cloud has ALWAYS been a straight up warrior class that rivals Sephiroth. Able to cleave buildings in two next thing I know to get through hard mode I’m stacking cloud with elemental and magic Materia. Only way to make it so I can solo everything with cloud. Not cool square Enix.

Ima just say they made a lot of shit in this game unnecessarily OP and just hard for no reason I love it but I hate it 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣

So I tried this build over my original and while I don't have every materia you have or items and I'm missing barret's weapon. The Builder you have gave me a noticeable difference on the best time in the simulation battle. Have to say, I looked down on a few things. Including Mythril Saber and steadfast block materia. Thanks for this video.

Hard mode is not fun is too hard and frustrating

How has he got so many materia slots for the hardedge sword because I only have 4 and I have no more things to upgrade with skill points

Just unlocked hard mode and was really surprised to see that I've already been using almost these exact setups. I have be opting for the fastest weapon for tifa over higher attack and using luck + steal materia in place of some other things. Was surprised not to see time + magnify though. I hastega my party at the start of every fight.

With a prayer max it heals all 3 for 2 at Bar save ur mp. And use 🙏

Anyone know why you can't use Barrier + All like you can with Cure? Thats such trash that they don't let you cast barrier/Manawall on all members

Yeah uhh. Sorry but I can't play with your build. I love Deadly Dodge on Cloud too much. Cloud is the Damager. Not a "Magicer" that's Aerith and Barret. Barret mostly for Lightning.

Cloud has the second highest Magic stat behind Aerith. What are you talking about Cloud being a bad healer?

This was one of the best video game guides I’ve ever seen. Extremely informative in every aspect I needed, but also properly stresses that many styles work not just yours. Loved

After platinum everything, beat everything and more. And i still feel like want to play More and story feel easy mode now, At this point, I honestly want Square Enix to make it "Very Hard" or "Hardest" difficult mode. Game and story is REALLY good and fun :)

So I'm new to FF7R and on normal and I gotta ask. How do I know what materia to switch to before the fight. One second I'm fighting shinra Guards and then I'm fighting robots

They need add a class option where we can just change up quickly compared to have to change materia per fight

Nice For me I will do is Try max out every Materia and Max out there Weapons and there lv and Magnify Materia is great for Chakra and First Strike

Very late comment, but how the hell does your mythril saber have 6 Materia slots? I have acquired all the slot+ Perks I could see in the upgrade menu, but I only have 5 slots

I’ve tried hard mode at least 10 times and a build similar to this, all characters maxed out at lvl 50 and all weapon proficiency - and yet I can never get past the Scorpion lol

How do I change a character out for another like if I wanna replace aerith for barret or etc how do I do this?

It's been a year since I've played this. I'm level 41. I'm not sure I want it blitz though normal for an easy grind and become familaur with mechanics again or dive unprepared into hard mode.

AFAIK you can’t get the Gotterdammerung until you have nearly completed hard mode since the boss is not available until like chapter 17 Hard only. As well if you have gotten that far how do you not have max SP from all the manuscripts?

I prefer the Buster Sword for Cloud, i find it balanced and it is good enough for me personally
