GHS have better colors, but the autofocus is terrible.

I'm not buying a GH5 because of this. This auto-focus performance is unacceptable for a flagship camera in this price range.

Can i use the panasonic cholors on a sony camara because the cholors from the gh5 looks like better

LOL... GH5 eats A6500 for breakfast EXCEPT on AF. There's no excuse there, but overall GH5 is like shooting with a 5D Mark lV. A6500 is on par with G85 or hell, even G7.

The GH5 looks so much better but the autofocus is horrible. It can't be fixed with just a lens right? Thinking about buying GH5 or A6300

All Panasonic have really shit AF.
Sony AF is fast and perfect everytime.
I will never buy another Panasonic.

Focus breathing.... I like that term for the GH5. Panasonic has great features, but none of it matters if it is out of focus because it is "breathing". I will pay 4 times as much to use an Sony. I know it will be usable!

I remember you told me aps c sensors are better for video then full frame. Could you explain why that is?

GH5 uses the latest top class of M43 lens 12-40 f2.8 ($1000)
A6500 uses the old E-mount E 50 F1.8, widely considered as slow AF in E-mount ($300)

Not sure if the people know there is a big difference in terms of lens....

Too bad that such a great camera with so advanced features has such a big weak point. Panasonic skipped that part but they really shouldn't. My Sony a5000 focus so much faster than the GH5. Without this issue the camera would be perfect...

@Max Yuryev - do you plan on repeating the AF tests with the latest firmware? Both the v2 firmware for the GH5 and the latest firmware for the PanaLeica 12-60 have been released since your last video on the subject, and both updates promise autofocus improvements! Reports on these improvements are mixed though, and you seem to be more rigorous in your tests and exploration of various settings than anyone else I've seen online.

A smart phone has better autofocus that this GH5 piece of shit

I found out on my G80 that with more FPS you get better AF.

How do you set your Rode Filmermaker Kit? Is it recording to the dslr or a recorder? Your sound is really nice so I would love to try your settings.

thank goodness i made the right choice. i rather have super quick auto focus feature than the 4K 60fps. whats the point of having that feature if its bloody slow at focusing your subject! LOL

It's a no brainer, folks. Get the Alpha 6500. Better in lowlight and better auto focus.

I won't buy this camera now...
