I'm starting to get really bored about bad / tragic endings in horror movies. It has become so frequent that it's basically a cliche by now. Having supernatural elements in a movie always means a two-tier system. But can storytellers not once have the heroes outsmart a ghost or a demon – not by beating them within a set of "magical rules". Just outsmart them.

If this trend keeps going on, the very genre of a movie ("horror") becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

This show made me poop my pants

I think after watching the movie that this entity feeds on the fear of the victim although I prefer that oil lamp scene where that thing burns however I have been thinking about it and like the ring it is just how the victim copes with it yet there's a lot of scenes that toy with the reality or person's fiction though I think a few things should've been cleared for starters the prisoner, the therapist are enigmatic figures in this movie still classical perhaps I think this movie has a meaning which is overcome your emotional scars and smile by understanding your fear and give it a place

Rose was so annoying the whole movie. "Guys, please I'm not crazyyyy. You HAVE to believe meee!" 🙄 Her character partnered with the nonstop jump scares tainted what could have been a much better movie.

I like how in the opening scene with her patient he tells rose "you're not listening to me" and then throughout the rest of the movie she's saying those exact same words to everyone else

I ain’t seen this but it’s on my list 😢 but I didn’t like the ring so if it’s like that like u say then I know I won’t enjoy but I love horrors but seems like a cultural thing because if I eat out and not happy I won’t be smiling ! I’ll be complaining Asf !!! 😂

I think she should have been honest with Joel about having to kill someone. Maybe she could have killed a random homeless person in front of another and he could have helped her cover it up.

With Joel knowing about the smiling followed by suicide based off his research. What if he just looked away before she lit herself on fire and walked away never looking back. Boom curse lifted.
