Fantastic documentary, had my heart in my mouth the entire time and learnt so much.

DAMN!!! I put this seemingly unremarkable documentary on as background noise only to hold my breath the whole time and then cry myself to sleep. What an amazing story!!

It’s something about Dave Chris diving partner. His demeanor I don’t like it.

What an amaxing story of survival i never knew how much team work was involved in under the sea jobs. Chris is a very likeable guy with so many hopes and dreams a beautiful fiance. Such sadness he must have felt in the moment before losing consciousness ~if i spelled that right when it comes to life and death situations chris had some very good hearted men that saved his life the guy who gave him cpr what a hero and the guy who went as fast as he could to carry chris to safety. When you face a crisis like this you seperate the men from the boys and i must say that dave yuasa i didnt like his cold hearted attitude he said a few things like when the incident happend is all i could think about was not this chris guy but getting my own self to safety and when he found out chris was alive he said i must say i was mad that he survived because he got himself into the mess. No dude the weather got his lifeline wedged and it broke leaving chris without oxygen. Anyway very good documentary love survival shows.

so many of these diving stories end in tragedy. so amazing to have a survival story against unbelievable odds.

yes amazing documentary. I was hooked but i will never understand why anyone in their right minds wants to do a job like this. i would say they are really stupid and basically they sign their life away. if that is what they want to do then fine but why do such a suicidal job! At the end of the day ... well, i won't way any more. But why do it!

Dave Yuasa (diver #1) he comes off VERY callous and downright cruel 😡

He makes it all about himself.... Dave, you're pissed at HIM?! Like he was the one that caused turn storm, the malfunction of the boat, the cable snapping. This guy is a true ahole. The only thing that MIGHT be an excuse for his horrific behavior, is possibly he's on the autism spectrum, and that's why he's so robotic with no sympathetic or empathetic feelings.

He could care less about the man that almost died at the bottom of the ocean. Karma will set him straight some day.

"i wasn't carrying a person...i was just moving a THING from point A to point B...because they asked me to and it was my job"... HOW ABOUT BECAUSE IT WAS A HUMAN FUCKING BEING! i wanted to smack that fuck a few times...

Its a miracle he found the structure wandering around in complete darkness. What would have happened if he tried to swim up?

I watched documentary on Netflix last night and I am amazed how Chris survived..incredible..and yes,his team has done a great job..more than that!

When they say the Machines will kill us, this is what they mean, the storm knocked out the gps and the humans who built all this, couldn't control the vessel without it.
Well worth a watch as Documentaries go, seemless blend of archive footage / reenactment.
Divers risk it all, a bit like pregnant women, only I don't think 800 divers die every 24hours.

Really moving.just watched it today at work.
Shed a tear or 2 in fear for the lad.
