M2 MacBook Air vs. The Rest

i think if m2 air had launched at $999, windows laptops would be a lot cheaper this year

apple laptops are not even on the same playing field as windows... the only reason to buy a windows laptop is if u need the windows OS specifically, and that would be just bad luck at this point

But I feel like macbook air/pro they age well compared to windows laptops to me. I have macbook pro M1 it is wonderful no problem at all, but my very old macbook air early 2015 just works fine. the battery degraded, but just replaced it, other than that it does its job.

M1 MacBook Air is the first time I paid full price and bought at day 1 of release.. I knew I won’t be disappointed.. got 16 gb version.. gonna serve me forever

The fact that Apple Macs are good at battery is because of its arm-based chip. Arm-based chips are known for their efficiency; hence the battery is very good.

The downside is that the majority of the software applications run on the x86 architecture chips that Intel and AMD make.
Wish Intel decided to make its own ARM-based chips so that the developers also start making software applications for arm-based Windows OS. (Of course, Microsoft also needs to optimize windows 11 to the arm-based chips.)

Which one is better to get? Macbook air m2 8gb 512gb or macbook air m1 16 GB 512 GB?

It sounds like apple just software limited m1 then overclocked m2 calling it a new chip

I really hate these soldered ram. When I buy a laptop, I am expecting myself to use it for atleast 7-8 years and this soldered ram are deal breaker for me.
