I love xaviers design , the other two are nice too but that is exactly NOT the point of the video , this is no budget , no client , no rules at all you S H O U L D go wild and not be conservative how you would actually in the real world

Like other people had said- I was very excited for this video until they started doing unrealistic things to it. I can even get rid of my desk chair in a real dorm 🤦🏽‍♀

I really liked patrick's. first of all he put the desks next to window THANK YOU and the shelving and the map wallpaper is amazing and its simple enough for students to personalize it themselves

I wish they'd pick designers who weren't so wild and outlandish. I just love this idea, but the choice of designers has made me lose interest. I think designing requires the use of some basic principles such as symmetry, use of a color palette, cohesion, blank space, and a focal point. You can't just fill a room with random pieces. Anyone can do that. There's no live plants, no artwork, and no sculptures. They have free reign to design any way they want but they restrict themselves. I'd widen that window to show more of that beautiful view and remove the awkward light. What about a coffee area? I did not like any of these designs. Too cluttered and too busy for me.

In my opinion, Xavier's room is a little too much, just knowing you wake up and see that hot mess. I mean, of course, I love the concept I just don't see it as a room design whatsoever.

Did any of these designers ever live in a dorm room? Where is the storage for clothing, books, etc.? We had a TV and a mini-fridge — no place for those in any of these rooms. And the desk chairs look uncomfortable. Awful, impractical designs.

I loved Patricks design because of the desk around the window....as a student I get motivated studying at a window

Laura is just immaculate every time, I don't exactly what is going on with Xavier but whatever that was its very questionable

Interesting solutions - but, where do they put their clothes? And they are students, only one of the designers allowed for bookshelves.

None of these are doable, no matter what your "budget", in a college dorm room setting. I get there are no "restrictions" in this design series but in this situation there are limitations that need to be acknowledged.

I loved Laura's and Patrick's designs!

Laura's was maybe too mature for college students. She really made great diy choices that apply to temporary housing rules. Also what's her accent? specifically when it comes to the letter 'A' in words like plants, lamps, and bland?

Patrick's room had ship cabin vibes to me, anyone else feel that way? His seemed the most academic but maybe more middle school level vs college level.

Xavier's ideas were definitely creative and fun, I just think the fabrics, patterns, and color schemes were tragically ugly. It is the most realistic though, in the sense that two students would have differing aesthetics vs decorating the whole room the same way.
I would watch that enemies to lovers movie about the roommates

2nd. Patrick - nice design but a bit juvenile
3rd. Xavier - great concept but very stuffy

Xavier's been watching too much LOTR and listening a lot to the White Stripes.

I actually think Patrick’s is the most practical storage wise and comfort wise (sitting & sleeping) it’s just not that aesthetically pleasing to have that map wall paper that kind of puts students in a box to what they can do with their walls. I wanted to pick Lauren’s because it’s so pretty and had a nice set up but there’s no storage capacity and that bed doesn’t look comfortable and neither do the chairs 😭
