This scene wasn’t sad at all. I saw I was like “Wait really? Wow, I didn’t know they were really going to kill off Shazam like that.” only for it to be ruined when Wonder Woman comes in to resurrect him

He didn't die but it was so sad😢

Freddy didnt deserve this nore his whole family.. :(

rosa saying “oh my baby no” is heartbreaking. she adopted him when he was a teen but she still loves him as her own flesh and blood and is still crushed by her son’s death

Not gonna lie. I was legit expecting them to pull the whole "AH HA HA I GOT YOU" and was genuinely suprised that they didn't

I was genuinely shocked, but of course he comes back, but don’t know if they’ll make a third with Zachary or not, with James Gunn basically destroying the DCEU like a complete moron

I didn’t expect that he’d die and probably would have liked that he remained dead

Billy gave his life to save the ones he loved, that’s what made him a true hero. Even though he never said it, I’m sure he loved Freddy like a real brother

Honestly this can't take be taken seriously "YOU ASSHOLE, WE'RE A TEAM" really there is zero emotion in that scene and it's a complete rip off of Superman's death in BvS.

I knew he wasn’t gonna stay dead but man this scene hurt.

I really felt bad for the mom even though she met Billy as a teen he's still her baby

Brother My Brother by Blessed Union of Souls, would be a fitting song for this moment, where Freddy was becoming emotional after losing his best friend and foster brother.

That is until Wonder Woman brought him back to life.

How fucked up can these people get Like seriously, we know that you're switching to a different director that does not mean that you get the right to kill everyone

Freddy goes through the five stages of grief in one scene. Idgaf what anyone says this is a great movie

I think that bringing him back just ripped all the meaning and sorrow out of his death I just didn’t like the way they did it

Then Wonder Woman comes along with a needle drop at a child’s funeral and completely diminishes any impact or consequence this movie could’ve had :(

My daughter and I we were not expecting to get teary eyed for a Shazam movie 😢

Like Hercules, billy has proven himself as a true hero.

When males cry over their fallen brothers. It's really touching coz they rarely cry and when they do they can't control their agony and temper aswell. It's so traumatic to witness it

You know to be honest I really wanted billy to die. Not to say I hate the character. Far from it I just think that the ending would have more weight and meaning than Wonder Woman appearing out of no where. And I think it would be more interesting seeing how the surviving members of the Shazam family cope with the loss of their powers and billy. I think that would make this movie more interesting. Other than that it’s good

I was surprised that he died, but when they brought him back to life, I should have known. 🙄 This is DC. DC characters don't die

I literally cried a whole bunch after he died I couldn't stop. And Freddie's pleading killed me. The sobs just....:(

Wasn’t a big fan of this film, but Jack Dylan Grazer really acted his ass off, especially in this scene.

Just watched it. Pretty good movie and not as bad as the reviews made it out to be. Anyone get bvs vibes from the ending? Basically death and resurrection of Superman.

I teared up so much, it reminded me of my brother when he died.
