I think this looks great for a modern update. The only thing I am worried about is cut content. As long as everything is kept from the original game, even if updated a bit, I will be happy. Also, I don't want anything censored from the original, otherwise, why make it a rated M game? I can't wait to hear the new soundtrack! So far, I think this looks promising, especially compared to those trash RE-Remakes everyone praises so much 🙄

animations look like from a 2 man indi studio. the sound effects sound like from a electronical piano samples. too bad they ruin this before it even started. too bad they will propably do the same garbage with mgs3

Atmosphere looks good, environment aswell. It's just the animations and the combat ... Looks rough and janky.. The sounds of the guns are not ok but I hope they're just placeholders for now. The way the bullet impacts looks also looks really bad but let's say it's still in develoment so hopefully it will be polished. Kinda worried after seeing the trailer nto gonna lie.

As a man, who played original Silent Hill 2 the same year it was released, and as a fan of the Japanese tetralogy I have to say - it's better than I expected. Not great, but pretty good. QTE's gotta go and what's the deal with green blood? I hope it's some rendering error or some kind of a censorship setting, because it looks really bad. Also gotta mention that guitar tone during the solo - ugh. But overall I'm looking forward to this and probably going to buy during sale, it's definitely not pre-order or get-it-on-release-date stuff.

All they have to do is make Silent Hill 2 in new engine and polish it (tank controls etc.). Why copy RE remakes, SH was always psychological. OTS camera doesn't work with SH2...

Combat movement needs work the art is great if you guys focused on making silent hill a good horror game look at the past instead of what everyone else is doing

To those saying that this trailer looks bad, let me point out the obvious in case you’re too blind to see it: The game is still in development. It’s not finished yet. Give it more time before critiquing how the game will be good or bad. Never judge an unfinished product. Be optimistic. Yes, the animations are a bit wonky, but hopefully they’ll have fixed that by the time the game comes out. Just keep an open mind.

4/10 bad sound, bad gameplay (weir) i dont think so, this game its go to disaster

The Short Message was my first time playing a Silent Hill game EVER. If that was just a taste of what SH is, then I am SOOOO looking forward to this SH2 Remake & becoming a huge fan of this franchise!

Some animations might require some work (like opening doors, plain walking and the final kick on enemies) but overrall the combat feels nice! This game could be a standing point on Bloober's portfolio and the fanbase is a tough one. Please, take all the time you need, Bloober!

The game was not designed for an over the shoulder camera. You’re losing a lot of storytelling and gaining nothing. Use most of the camera placement of the original and just smooth out James’ animations. Also, get that immersion breaking X out of there. Dummies don’t play these games.

Still waiting for the game. But I must admit Remedy set the bar very with AW2 in this kind of in game atmosphere.

the combat animations are kinda jank and the gunplay doesn't look so hot.. also, gotta lova that QTE, amirite?

I hope the shooting scenes are wobbly just for shows, the melee combat is okay i gues..

janky animations, cheap graphics, over the shoulder camera, zero recoil and awful shooting sound, and on top of that...QUICK TIME EVENTS!!! it would have been outdated and disrespectful towards the original even in PS3 era, but releasing THIS in PS5 era sounds like another out-of-season April's Fool joke. thanks Konami, you never fail to disappoint.

My only real complaint besides some of the animations is why do the guns sound like they have silencers
