If they make co-op missions I have an idea for one. So when you start matchmaking you have to play the mission with the opposite factions. So when the mission starts you get lost because of infected (or any other type of enemy). So you end up in a subway and come across a player that's in the opposite factions. The only way to survive the situation the players are in they must work together. Soon after fighting together and working together, they will be able to fight. And whoever wins gets a larger amount of rewards than the other player.

Factions 1 is great because is a very self-contained, tactical shooter with a nice role-play side to it. My worry is that Naughty Dog will make something completely different just to benefit from the new casual audience the show is bringing to the table.

Eh, battle royales and the division. Pointing that out and probably being right, I lost interest right there. Hopefully it'll be something better than that though I won't keep my hopes high. Worst case scenario I can always playing single player for the gore.

Really looking forward to this, I believe if done right, can completely take over.

I played factions for like 7 years until I got a full time job and im still waiting for this game since like, last year 😂

I hear that the multiplayer won’t have any guns at all, just fists. What makes it worse is that you’ll only be able to play as an infected

i would’ve thought it’d be really cool if they did a thing with the WLF and the seraphites for the multiplayer, maybe not restricting it to just those two but they would’ve def been really cool factions to play as

I just hope you will be able to costumize your character like you want and many more weapons and also all infected (maybe even rat Kings)

I hope the skills are plenty and well fleshed out. I think it’d be interesting if there was a limit to skills, so you have to choose what you’re proficient in. I also hope there are a ton of new craftable items.

You know we keep saying Factions is underrated.

But just for a second, close your eyes and imagine that it has gone fallout/Apex viral.

Things I want, detailed character customization and open world, want it to show Day Z how you actually make a open world zombie apocalypse game. Bonus points if you can get infected.

Maybe it'll be a bit like fallout with different factions and quests they could take an rpg approach so fallout 76 without all the day 1 problems sorta

I think it would make sense if they gave us factions soon after the first season of the tv show ends, then the second season of the show followed by the last of us 3 over a period of a couple of years. I mean...that's what I'm hoping anyway! I'm just happy we're getting lots of TLOU content to tide us over until TLOU3!

I fully expect we get a reveal shortly after the show ends. Really they couldn’t time it any better. I assume this will be the late holiday PS5 release and because it’s not directly confined in the story of the show/game it really can hit exactly right. However they really need to explain what this is..I’m wondering if this thing is a full fledged co op, MP, battle royal type deal. I think they need to have a F2P mode, they have to. I do think they can have additional content that is purchasable but I don’t think they can sell this at 70 to compete with the likes of Warzone/Fortnite and maybe it’s not trying to but it’s 2023 this is a flagship title, PS5s are now available and this thing needs to be the THING. Maybe they totally will flip things and I’ll be wrong, but I think they need a simple F2P mode at minimum. Also I know I’m asking for alot here but give me a split screen mode of something, I wanna play this with my wife and I think alot of new fans from the show would dig split screen mode even if it’s just missions. Many gamers are watching with non gamers fir the show and that would be an incredible way to capitalize on sharing the experience the show provides with a game

The original factions is probably my favorite multi-player experience in any non multi-player focused game. I put in a disgusting amount of hours into it on ps3 back in the day, to the point that I made a shorty only class and consistently went nutty with it.

Not going to lie, when TLOU1 came out I was younger and did not see the hype in the single player mode. But man, I spent so many hours on factions. I loved how many of the elements felt exclusive to its gameplay, adding unique mechanics. Anyways, sad I didn’t end up playing single player nowadays but I’m excited for multiplayer as well as a TLOU1 release for PC so I can finally finish the single player experience I neglected. I hope we get to fight a horde. That would be so fun especially last of us style gameplay with friends.

I dont know. The combat in TLOU was not great. Kind of clunky and really not all that enjoyable. I dont have high hopes for this multiplayer title.

Just give us the same factions mode with updated graphics, different gamemodes and new weapons. Thats it. A horde mode like wwz has would be dope to. I just hate the idea of a game that's ONLY a royale or something like the division

I would love to see a huge map with 2 teams. One invading an area and one defending all the while infected randomly spawned in in random places. Kind of makes it like an online story mode. A wide open map where every building including skyscrapers are open to explore. Beach. Woods. Country. Suburbs.
Or maybe even play as infected. I can't imagine how using echo location as a clicker would look like. I would just like to see an online mode as close to the story mode as possible.

Just give me the last of us 1 multiplayer stand alone i dont care about the 2 or the tv show just bring me back in the time a was playing mass effect 3 multiplayer and last 1 team deathmatch and having fun with friends,no wokesse no game as service milking gamer -_-

I want all of u that reads this to imagine this. Imagine a small scene of multiplayer it starts with us four slowly walking in a small hallway with water filled to our ankles with lights hanging and blinking very dim. as we walk we move passed clickers trying not to alert them and with the steps of water slowly moving forward we hear a bloater at the end of the hallway alerting the infected behind us. one gets grabbed the other three runs but the 3rd is crushed by the bloater the last two make it to a dark room and close the door only to turn around and see we are surrounded by stalkers, the cam cuts to the outside of the room. Gunshots are heard then silence.
