question about the outputs: is "SUB" for sub mix or subwoofer?

Its a shame that I cannot assign different input fx banks to different tracks, so that corresponding input fx would automatically activate when I play different tracks. What is the point of looper if you cannot do that. How am i supposed to change the track and the input fx bank at the same time. I bought this looper so that i would be able to do that. But it cannot even do such a simple thing. Is programming such a basic and essential function in a looper such a hard thing? Can anyone suggest me a work around?

Trying to decide which one to get with a hangover is really difficult and painful.

Boss and Roland need to fire their project leads that insist on using cave painting technology for their displays. There are times when old school can be quite charming but with today's OLED displays with crisp graphics and text these company's need to put away their wax tablets. I just won't consider their tech as long as they adhere to making navigating through their menus as difficult as possible. Imagine an Iphone with this kind of display.

Hi, you say you can assign different tracks as verses/chorus/bridge etc, but how do you actually do that? The instructions for use do not specify this. I would like (like the Trio + Band creator) to be able to sequence the verse/chorus/bridge parts in an automatically established order. Thank you 🙂

Far too much editing involved with RC-600. If i wanted to spend all my time fiddling around with editing screens and knobs before i can even record a loop i would just stick with my DAW.
I thought a looper was supposed to be almost a plug and play thing where you could quickly lay down your idea before it skips your mind.

Far too sophisticated for the ordinary bass or guitar player so the tuition was basically useless

This is what I've been missing in my setup. A looper.

Wow the premixing capabilities alone make this worth the upgrade. One of the issues I have with the old version is that sending more than 1 instrument into it gets a kinda muddy. Especially if you're doing leads + rhythms through the same output. But with this I can premix multiple instruments with panning and then (if I'm not mistaken) submix each track out via separate outputs. That not only solves my muddy bass/keys/guitar mix but also eliminates the need to premix on a mixer which frees up like 6 channels on my mixer that I can do anything with. That is just wild. Why haven't I already upgraded???

I saw a video of a guy using the 505 and a mic to make tracks. The guy used his voice to control a vst string section vst patch and it sounded amazing. How is that possible?

does the rc-505 mk2 still only record quantised and is not capable of recording unquantised (allowing to follow the own rhythmic flow), or has this bug been fixed by a software update meanwhile?

can effects be assigned to faders?

does it have sidechain and ducking?

As usual terrific video! Simply great work. Wish the 505 had been designed differently. Its simply too ugly for me to add it to my studio. The aesthetics remind me of big, plastic toys for kids. Also don’t understand the size if the buttons. If its meant to be used by hand they really don’t need to be that big. It has a techno appeal to me that doesn’t make much sense for a looper imo

As a guitarist I had assumed I’d be getting the RC600. This video convinced me to get the RC505 MK2 with a midi pedalboard instead.

What AFFORDABLE monitor / speaker with GOOD sound would you recommend ?

Good Video. But I have a question. If I record say a Drumloop into the RC-505 with 2 measures I always get a breack at the end of the recorded loop. Do you know why?

Yesterday I spent the entire day recording and the mk2 disappointed me. I also own the first one. I recorded a little longer loop on the first track. The second track started acting up for 8 hours. It would not time match the first track, then it would play with different tempo than recorded. Eventually I gave up. No quantize either I guess because I could not find it. I loved this machine until I put some pressure on it

I purchased Two original RC 505 Mk Ones and have enjoyed the recording of a complete Live Performance in 90 Saved Two Track Masters Wth Extras and y own keyboard for live This Mk 2 Has More Updated Effects but I spent two years perfecting RC Mk 1 So will get a Mk 2 In A Few Months! Could you please show how time stretch works on the rc600? I have not been able to find a single example of time stretch working on the rc600

one MASSIVE thing that people should know because I watched every video trying to trouble shoot this issue... is to assign your mic to one of the Chanels for me I set it to 5.. and to turn mic OFF for the Chanels you want to record synth or guitar sounds on.... if youre a keyboard player and you have your loops set to record when you press a key.. if your mic is picking up any sound it will trigger your loop at random times and not be in sync.. you will be wondering why your bass line starts late or ends early and yank your hair out.

hi there. Im a complete newb to this but I hope somebody can help me out..

I recently got an mk2 and i am connecting it to my mac pro via usb.

I am using OBS studio to record the sound coming from the mk2.

Now here is the question....

I have noticed that in the finished recording I can hear the rhythm sound aswell.

I have tried to find solutions but nothing is working for me....

To clarify all Ive done is add an extra audio source in OBS studio and chose Boss RC 505 MK2...

Could somebody please explain to me as simple as possible what I need to do so that I dont hear that rhythm sound in the recording anymore ....

HI I use mac os high sierra 10.13 and in the boss website the driver are only for Mac Os Catalina and above to use vendor mode I need a driver to use with high sierra or it is not supported thanks

Just struggling to add FX to the rhythm Tracks.
Is it possible? Eg. Beat reapeater on the rhythm track so you can rmx the rhythm beats?

So.. I love my EDM creation tools but my first love is guitar.

Most of my loopers have been short duration add-ons to multi-fx pedal boards where I am lucky if I can record a full chord progression... I also have a Line 6 Spider Jam amp that allows for playing along to full tracks/mp3 or low bit mono samples via SD card.

So what I would like is a device that I can load full songs/backing tracks into so I can jam/practice over and also I would like to compose a save ideas... Will these devices do that? I see that they can but to what extent? say I load a bunch of backing tracks and beats will that be all my memory banks and sample time bust?

Once you save a 5 or 6 part track will these devices multi track out the audio (and Midi) for further development? could you split over dubs from each part?

It would have been interesting to say a word about EHX 95000. How does it compare to these two ?
