How is this better than more conventional automation that uses conveyors and tray sorting? Is the curved salami causing problems, because I know my wife complains.

15 years ago humans made pepperoni sticks. Now robots make them. In 15 years robots will be making robots and humans will have zero jobs

Great now automate produce picking in fields.

At one end of each conveyor belt there are workers sitting on top of a toilet seat, eating sausages and dumping their poop down a chute, this then lands on the conveyor belt before going into the packing area!

Me sorting my Inbox after I hinted that I'm female on Social Media.

That job used to be done by humans but when they sped up the line, the humans couldn't keep up and started eating them and stuffing them in their clothes.

The most amazing part of this to me is the Peperami salamis are just poured out all over the place and the packing robots have to 'see' where they are.

Ecentually robots will be building and manufacturing for robots.

How many picks per second?

Add some multi-threading and the pickers won't have to wait for the tray conveyor advancing.
