So I watched this twice, Dr Gallagher is right about diet sweeteners, they are just terrible for leg swelling and the same for caffeine. The pineapple is also a good choice. I did buy the salt for a quarter but that’s a huge joke, so a 8oz bag of salt with shipping and handling was $10.91 and I can buy 5lbs of fine Himalayan pink salt for $9.99 and no tax at Costco, I also don’t like the Colima salt is coming out of Mexico which is a very dirty place. Yes I was there and it’s ugly. So don’t fall for the cheap salt. The advice is good though.

I have a CLL (Lymphoma) that caused lymphoedema on my calves mostly the left one; Is it ok to drink decaf coffee (you said the caffeine was the culprit)? I use Himalayan salt or Sea Salt or Fleur de Sel salt but mostly Himalayan my fave is that better? For my super cereal breakfast I soak it with about only 60 ml of Yogourt; other dairies are Goat Cheese, Swiss Cheese the Original one, some times Goat Brie cheese; other times Emmenthal cheese, in portions of maxim 30g per day. You did not mention Pure Virgin Olive Oil, I thought it was the best of all.. Is the Tamari Sauce (from soya) bad? Please give me your advice on these? Thank you for your help

I have CKD & have to limit protein. So your advice should come with exceptions. And, small amounts of caffeine is allowed with CKD. IM NOT DIABETIC levels everyday. NOR DO I have high BP. My CKD is from Congestive heart failure. I usually have a small amount of dairy most days & 1 cup of tea or coffee every day. Stable with the CKD but. Watch my potassium, phosphorus, protein, salt

Love your vibration, made me laugh when you spoke of dandelion tea! I've sub & watched a good number of your uploads. I use olive Oil, premium & eat plenty of fruit...Apples Oranges pomegranate & pineapple mostly. For the most part I stick regimentally to what you revealed never the less periodically I do eat some processed food. Its Quality of life thus a wee cheat is permitted. I wish I could follow this advice, but basically what I heard was "Stay away from poor people food & eat only rich people food" 😅 Plus I thought I was doing great by switching from white sugar to splenda. What am I supposed to sweeten tea with? Maybe I can at least do that if I at least know what to look for. UGH now I'm more confused than ever 😓

I had swelling in my lymph in my throat....... I searched for days found nothing appropriate for me....... and I had a hunch sugar , caffeine alcohol and salt we're all potential contributors to my swelling.. I had abused overused all four of these with extreme abuse of salt and sugar in the past week.... so I just cleaned up my Act and the swelling went away...... and then a week later I Stumble onto this video

You mentioned avoiding coffee because of the caffeine. What about decaf coffee using almond milk instead of milk or cream? I drink cold brew with no sweetener and unsweetened almond milk I usually do a half-caf, but can easily wean off the caffeine over a few days. We also like de-caf black tea, and I don't use sweetener in that, either.

Are you familiar with lipedema? I have both Liphedema and lymphedema. I'm very newly diagnosed. Through a place that does therapy for lymphedema. I've been misdiagnosed most of my life. And would like to know the best things to eat.

Can edema be caused by an injury? I had one of my freak accidents in July where I walked in to a grabber resting on a cardboard box and the handle end hit the bottom of an upholstered chair. Hurt like the dickens! The injury point was just above my ankle where a "goose egg" formed and I was black and blue below my ankle bone. The bruising has subsided but the swelling of the ankle persists. When I wake up in the morning my ankle looks normal but as I walk it begins to swell again.

My foot and leg swelling is so bad I can hardly walk today. I've been mostly fasting today because I know ALL food is bad for me! Maybe tomorrow I will improve.

Actually, the only one I refuse to give up is coffee. I don’t drink much alcohol, but when I do I blow up like a balloon. And the rest I don’t eat, so I’m good to go. And I’m carnivore so I don’t have to worry about protein. The three things that bother me heat alcohol and salt.

Basically the two things that cost me to swell are alcohol and salty foods. It really started when I got my blood clot in 2007. I never really had any swelling until then. Now it’s both sides not just the DVT side.

The link to your Master Class isn't working for me, as I tried it numerous times (I'm watching this🏆 video on Aug. 20, 2023) I'm 72 w/numerous heath issues (kidney disease, edema, arthritis in hands,knees & left hip, that was congenital at birth & 2 torn rotator cuffs, so self care is becoming increasingly difficult..) I was supposed to have one hip & 2 knees replaced at the beginning of the pandemic & am now too ill to go under the knife, etc. When I was able to use my hands to massage from my lower thighs , over my knees & down my calves & then back up again, I had far less edema, felt substantial pain relief & greatly improved mobility. I will have to save upnfor a few months before taking your master class, providing it's still available, but will spend some kf that time warching more of your free videos. Thank you for all that you do!!

I would love to see why you say coffee is bad for us! In February I was really feeling bad and I finally zeroed in that coffee was the culprit! It was like I was drinking poison every morning! I am glad to say I feeling better and also sleeping better without the dark liquid! I'm enjoying green tea these days!🙂

I have to question advice based on averages because I am a blood type B, descendant of nomads (who took milk producing animals with them to graze), and my immune response and digestion adapted to this lifestyle. I stopped all dairy for 30 days and it made no difference. I stoped wheat (nomads can’t take a wheat field with them) and my mucus and sinus cleared up for the first time in my life. Most people are O or A, and they are also different from each other, but both of them have problems with milk, but A can try goat milk or goat cheese.
I wish the listed items made clear whether the evidence supports them applying to everyone.

What are the best protiens to eat if vegetarian or began.
Im not a red meat eater, so some help there would be great. Dairy, what ways to get calcium/D3 other than supplements.

The truth is, we're all going to die one day. Everyone wznts to live a long healthy life but for the majority of us there is a balance between living longer and living healthily. Find your balance.
