Hamster's Daily Night Routine - Taking Care of a Syrian Hamster

I don't recommend using this cage anymore, as it is easy for the hamster to chew out of and escape
I feed him after he has eaten all of the food in his cage. I find this works well for him as it prevents him from becoming a picky eater!

How often do I have to fully clean out my hamster's cage?

On my days off work my girl gets any where from two to six hours of free ranging time. I have my entire room hamster proofed so it’s safe for her. I just lock the door and never look away from my feet when walking around (She’s a bit of a foot hugger😳). I’m very grateful that I’m able to spend this time with her as often as I do😍🐹🫶

This is not hate, I am just saying that a wheel with ridges instead of like a cork grip could hurt the hamster’s paws,

I do the same! I always check my hammy a burrow to see if there’s a lot of food left, if there is I wait to feed her til it’s all eaten :)

Here's a tip:dont always scatter food across their cage as they may not find it and if they don't find it there will be bad rotten food particals which are harmful for hamsters and then in a few days the tragidy of your hamster dying happens so if you have a hamster food bowl then always pour it into the bowl and only refill the bowl when it's empty

Tip 2: never and i mean never wake your hamster up during the day as they are nocternal creatures and are mainly awake during sunset or night and if you continually wake it up during the day it will get stressed and it will begin biting you


Tip 3: make sure you have a sand area so the hamster can clean itself as it cannot be washed by water as it will have similar outcomes as tip 2.

I’m getting a hamster soon when I move house in 2024 and I have done research and im buying it all my self bc my mum said I can get one if I pay and I still can’t wait to get her as im getting a her and calling her Dior ❤❤❤

Hey!! So i have just a few questions for you 😅

my hamster cage is 27-28 inches on the long side and probably like 18-19 inches on the short side (Its a bin). I wanna know if that okay 👌

My hamster doesn't have a lot of toys, or sticks 😅 she has a good wheel, a food bowl, water bottle, hut, and a couple corner tubes. I wanna know if thats okay or if I should get a bit more toys for my hamster.

I usually feed my hamster those donut shaped brown foods. Sometimes I mix in a very seeds or nuts. I usually feed it whenever its food bowl is empty, cause I never really see it store its food in a corner. I wonder if im underfeeding or over feeding it 😬

I have 6 hamsters and a mouse. I take them out daily for at least an hour or two. 20 mins are not enough for my babies! So spot cleaning is once a week. I wish I could do better but they are already very demanding. Love them though ❤️

How do you not make ur hamster dump his water bowl? My hamster dumped his water and it got on his bedding.

The wheel is not very good. The wheels with the rims on the bottom can cause injury. One of my hamster tripped and got flu out of the wheel and broke her leg. Please don't make the same mistake I did. But the cage is amazing! 😁
