My arch experience was creating a bootloop after installing a theme

1) The only reason a person is not using mainline Arch is because they don't want to use systemd.
2) Using fish is ok as long as you're using it as an interactive shell only. It has no place as a scripting shell.

my company is selling products (kiosk ish) built on Ubuntu server. And we've customized it so much. I start to consider if I should just get arch and build from the ground up.

as an arch user, it really isn't that hard. Install takes a bit, but tbh, installing packages is just looking up if it's in the repos or flatpak.

AUR is good for like 2-3 packages.
