My son played this at a friend's house and came home crying. He said he feels like a bad person and can't get the image out of his head. I'm so angry with this game. I played it with him and didn't think it was bad until this scene. Unfortunately I wasn't there to shield him when he got to this scene. I get that games need an impact scene that gets everyone talking but you don't have to cross moral boundaries to do so. This scene is disgusting.

For me this is where the game went from super fun and lighthearted to fucking sad and very dark, and I played lots of horror games with violence and gore, this just felt on another level and tbh completely unnecessary!

This scene comes completely out of left field, is utterly pointless in the greater plot of the game, and requires the player to participate in cruelty toward a creature begging for mercy. There's no way to progress in the game without doing this shit. What the actual fuck were they thinking. I didn't sign up for this prolonged torture gag, you made me do it, and for nothing.

Guys, it will be much healthier to you if you stop being so oversensitive. This was an imaginary world, both in reality and in-game. Yes, there are some things that are questionable (like the parents' ignorance or insensitivity to the fact that they want to make their daughter, who rarely cries, cry), but this game is obviously not meant to be taken seriously.

Looking at it from a more detached perspective, we considered the scene a humorous parody to what is mainstream in TV these days. We have shows that portray walking humans in various stages of decay (The Walking Dead), we have favorite characters being hit by a barbed-wired baseball bat in the head with his eye popping out after a very intense psychological terror (yup, The Walking Dead again), we have realistic scenes of mothers being murdered with children in their womb (Game of Thrones), we have very realistic portrayals of human bodies mutilated by breaking bones into completely unnatural positions (Stranger Things).

This is the norm these days and we are going to complain about a toy that came alive being "killed" when in fact it was only damaged?

I was really nor expecting this. I knew it was going to be bad when may and Cody initially had the idea but DAMN!

I started this game recently with a friend, and when we got to here, I barely even wanted to touch my controller. Even now, after a few hours, I'm still emotional just even thinking about this scene. Hell, I'm fighting through tears just to write this. This scene is great, but god damn, it's the ultimate killer of childhood innocence. Just wow.

That Part made me feel absolutely terrible! Same gut wrenching feeling since the shoe scene with the dip in "who frames roger rabbit"

I ripped and torn apart demons in doom, I destroyed a cult in in far cry 5, I butchered terrorists in call of duty, but this made me look at myself in the mirror and say am I the monster

The sadest thing is that the ending when they joy while their kid is crying .... kinda display how parents can be the monsters sometimes
