I tried watching this on Netflix this morning. The audio is HORRIBLE. I don't know if it was just Netflix, or what. It wasn't my device because every other app sounds just fine, but THIS? I couldn't hear any dialog because it was if they were whispering the entire time.

The content itself was less than stellar, anyway.

This movie was weak compared to the original movie. Basically it's Black Christmas only in name, the creators should have named it something else.

Woke Christmas

I enjoyed the movie. It was pretty slow up until the final end of the movie, which they actually showed in the trailers, so if you haven't seen it, you kinda already have because the trailer gave it all away. I did see that they changed one thing, the statue head on the body of the figure that tried to attack them. In the movie it wasn't actually a statue head they uncovered, but the head of one of the frat guys and it was bleeding that black bile instead of actual blood, which made the girl exclaim that "this can't be real". I thought it would have been cool for them to have realized that the statue head was attached to a fake body and then she would have real reason to be confused and alarmed considering the thing tried to kill them when it was actually just a possessed statue head on a dummy body, but disappointingly, it was just a trick that's used a lot in movie trailers (Remember the appearance of Hulk in Avengers:Infinity War and then in the movie it was the dude in the big ass Iron Man suit?). It is pretty frustrating when movie studios do that to trailers because then you feel misled.

This movie sucks but the 1974 original is, in fact, the OG progenitor of the modern slasher film. It was the first film to include all of the.primary elements that would later come to define the genre and directly inspire John Carpenter’s Halloween, its spiritual sequel, which would of course go on to popularize the genre 4 years later.

Only 15 minutes into the movie and was already over all the man-hating, SJW, woke bullcrap. It's really gotten old and cliché. Instead of just making a good horror movie, the writer/team decided to put together a stupid political movie with horrible actors. The try-hard humour is garbage too.

The acting is legit piss poor. There's not ONE single redeeming thing about the movie. I've seen a huge ton of horror movies and this is absolutely one of the worst ones ever made. I love horror movies and personally don't have high standards for them at all. For something to make me despise it takes some kind of special effort on the part of the creator. I actually hate the person who created this cesspool of excrement. How do they sleep at night knowing they made a movie so incredibly bad?

Don't waste your time, watch something else. I never even finished this movie because it was so crap.

Black Christmas, along with Halloween, are two series that studios just cannot get right. Stick with the original 1974 movie.
