Now....two years later.....how does ShareX, measure up? Can we get an updated review? I've been using it to replace my paid version of TechSmith's Snagit and found it to be as feature rich and capable as the paid for software. Although it has a pretty steep learning curve because of lack of help files, but after you get used to it, it is very powerful.

ShareX is a joke. I hit space by accident or any other random key after editing and the whole screenshot goes to hell. Definetly not a good one.

Screenpresso is a million times better.

Second time that I end up somehow in your channel, so far you never fail !

I have been using this software for quite some time now and I find it very useful.

screen recording? don't assume nobody's interested.

It's my go to screen capture tool for Windows and it's now available for Mac as well! I probably use ShareX 40 - 50 times a day. Hope you like it as much as I do. I also suggested a change to allow the step numbers (I) to allow starting the sequence from Zero (0) and not One (1) and they implemented the change into prod within a month :-) Thanks ShareX team you are fantastic.

Hi guys, i really dont want to get ShareX running in the background when i dont use it, and its kind of upset have to run it after take de screenshot (because if is not running ShareX, dont work take screenshots) Any one knows any shortcut to open ShareX?

What if you don't have a "PRNT SCREEN" Button on your keyboard?

Have this it's amazing and versatile but I would love it if there was a android version or mobile phone version?
On thing I know it is on mac and windows is it available on Chromebooks or is it there?

Hi, I do I delete my history from this app? I have been to the history area, but I don't see any delete option, I have even tried to right-click in case in options might come up. Unfortunately none come up. Please advice. Thanks in advance

I use ShareX and I just ditch it.
Yes it looks good but it is deceiving when you really need it.
I went to blogs and forums and communities to try to find a solution but no can do.
Many times when I want to record a Zoom meeting or a MS Teams meeting, I do a tryout just before and record myself as a test and everything is fine. I can here myself, the voice of the test lady while recording and every time I record the meeting, the sound from the other people is not there and I can hear me clearly or I can hear the others and I cannot hear myself.
I'm walking out to OSB.

how do I remove the Snipping Tool?
I already have ShareX but Snipping is still the main screenshot.

I Disable it on Regedit, it's still there after the restart.

I tried deleting it on the system folder but the prompter says You require permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this folder.

Yeah, I know. I were kinda sad when I realized it wasn't available on Linux, but y'know there are some viable options for Linux AS well of course. Although I didn't use most of the functionality, still nice to have.

Been using Snagit for 3 months then change to Screenpresso(this week) which is much lighter to system resources that Snagit. Will try this ShareX. thanks for sharing!

one thing i like about sharex is that i can host a site using my own domain and have it auto upload to site and copy the link to site so i can share as imbed instead of file also funny domain name go brrrrrrr

Windows has been saying the snipping tool is moving for at least q year.

i still prefer greenshot for my web browser game
but this sharex is good for productivity

ShareX is good, definitely has more functionality than Puush (the predecessor to ShareX). I really like the simplicity of Puush and I still use it. It still works and uses the same servers and everything.

My one is SnagIT since 3 years
