Hi, How are you ? Well i had a problem with lcd light too. The LCD don't turn on, I replace the LCD cable flat and dont work. I noticed when I recive that device, the cover where you show was very very hot. Some suggestion ?

Why not just replace the capacitor instead of jumper. Measure the Nearby capacitor value, as replacement capacitor. SMD cap is very cheap.
