Its hard to accept that almost everything you have been taught to be the ultimate truth your whole life is actually not the truth.. It creates immense identity crisis and cognitive dissonance even when youre presented with proof and youre smart. Its a survival mechanism of the ego. Ego is necessary to keep us alive in this world. Everyone has ego. And it takes tremendous amount of determination and brutal honesty to go beyond the ego while in this body and see the objective truth for what it is. Thats why we must have compassion for all humans no matter their background. It is not easy to experience such ego deaths and identity crisis.

Now, then, you may lie with them skin to skin, and avail yourselves of that which God has ordained for you, and eat and drink until you can discern the white streak of dawn against the blackness of night, and then resume fasting until nightfall; but do not lie with them skin to skin when you are about to abide in meditation in houses of worship. These are the bounds set by God: do not, then, offend against them - [for] it is thus that God makes clear His messages unto mankind, so that they might remain conscious of Him” (Quran 2:187)

The man seems sincere

You are happy with your own faith, but the creator who sent Jesus/issa is the same creator who sent prophet muhammad (and the prophets before them). Listen, everybody should had followed Moses back then. after that everybody should had followed Jesus, after that everybody should have followed Prophet Muhammad. Since prophet Muhammed is the final prophet he brought the final, complete and uncorrupted version ( with proof).
For clarification: the prophets before Muhammed brought the true message, it's the people that changed it.
