this has to be one of the stupidest strategies i have ever seen and i love it.

Pointless effort. You were trying to mimic some unknown trader's results not knowing if he really had a 97% win rate. Please just share what you actually know

you could just asked him, theres a though,

you should use MT4, MT5 or tradingview to run tests, if you use random generated data the tests are even less realistic

I'm pretty sure that trader if in fact he or she does have 97% winning days is NOT using the MACD.

Trend trading with HA candles on a 15minute chart i usually get around a 70-75% win rate every day. Martingale gets a bad rap though because there are slightly different version nobody talks about and people don't know how to use it properly. They let the risk parameters get way out of whack. I've used a version of martingale with 1 specific strategy now for more than 6 years and will continue to use it. I have never come even close to blowing up any account. Using a 1risk to .5 reward setup i can show you dozens of backtest that i have that all have win rate well over 80%. These are all day trading setups also. You should really look into hedged trades also. I think youll find what you like there.

I’m surprised you didn’t consider the possibility of a hedge. Takes more active management but you can really bring the red days down.

Very interesting. I never thought that a reward/risk ratio less that 1:1 is feasable. Do I understand correctly that in this strategy you risk say 100% and the reward can be 10% and you still make profit. Can you practically explain it, please.

You didnt think about one more strategy (and thats probably what he did)
He used a grid strategy that closes all trades in a basket + lot adding/martingale. Using this strategy you can even have 100% winning days because the trades are in floating dd without stop loss and closed only when they are in profit.
One of the good examples of this strategy and the one that workes long term so far is 'Waka Waka' Expert Advisor.
Basically it has some strategy to open a trade and then after fixed amount of pips it opens next trades with 1.3x multiplier (so first ones are i.e 0.01, 0,01, 0,02.... etc.) and after the profit of all those positions hit together certain amount of pips, all those trades are closed
The winrate of this strategy is usually 75% with ~0,5:1 RRR

Easy to do 20 trades, get a trading bot.
