the fault of this downfall is divided. it's also the player's fault big part. a videogame is a software, the only expiration date a software has is when it's unobtainable. nothing stops you from massively agreeing with eachother, dump those shit shaky screen dumb as fuck nicky minaj running around type of cods and return to the old ones. the good cods still have their servers up and running. overruning the hackers will force the devs to clean up the servers. if the servers get taken down in favor of the newer cods, then there you have a good lawsuit.

i remember every time a cod was about to be released, a lot of click bait videos would be released saying "we're gona miss you *insert COD title*" like it's going to be gone forever the day the next one comes up. my brother in christ the game is STILL there

I thought COD4 was the best thing ever invented when it came out. That being said, I think CODs decline was due to their taking a id Tech 3 engine and bolting things onto it until it could no longer keep up. Then they were at a point where they had no new ideas and no new game engine tech developed during their heydays. Look what Unreal Engine did for Epic.

The games back then had more care put into the creation, including all the major Titles from cod to Halo and rpg games. Real live action trailers with real life actors, promotions, full games at release, interactive stories full of life. Now games today are half finished, expensive, and “woke” inspired stinky garbage

The problem is right when you start actually playing the game and enjoying it, they announce a new washed out game. Last cod I enjoyed was Cold War, BO6 is kinda fun but idk

What astounds me is that they even managed to screw up the remasters for mw and mw2. Easiest job in the world. Just take the old games, update the graphics and servers, and done. But they packed them with micro transactions, removed chunks of the games and just made them unpleasant. I would pay full price to play normal old BO1 on a functional server. But I know they'd ruin it

The only thing keeping call of duty going at the moment is the energised slide hoppers and the oversized whales, the reason It did well is because it was a tactical shooter, with slower gameplay, the reason it sucks today is because it's basically a job now trying to enjoy the nostalgia of the past considering you have to try and deal with popped up slide hoppers that compete against the esporteers and hackers that are way worse because they only hack to beat the esport pros or the legendary slide bums.

Immersive gameplay, true military themed designs and environment, well designed camouflage suits and skins, well designed military maps (not those looking like Apex/Fortnite), true walking and running speed (not that look like players had sniffed something), strategy depending on game mode, selective perks, good loadouts, Co-Op mode, great Campaigns.
Warzone came and it was not a fresh air. It just came to ruin it all. Was made to attract Apex, Fortnite, Valorant, etc look alike players.

Battlefield is way better, but the worst battlefield game is 2042, BATTLEFIELD 1 is 8 years old and is phenomenal

Eles deveriam voltar a ser um jogo de guerra, militar e focado no realismo. Também inovar no multiplayer, adicionando algum modo novo mais tático, sem alterar o multiplayer tradicional que a fã base fiel gosta.

Cod isnt about respecting the history and veterans who did and didn’t come back or acknowledging the sacrifices that real people made COD doesn’t even care about the story anymore selling skins, battle passes and copies I was disappointed when BO4 wasn’t getting a story but now ATP their just wasting money on the story cause what the hell was BO6

I really liked Cold War. In my opinion, even if it's not EXACTLY what people wanted, I felt it was a step in the direction. Cold War was the kind of COD I had been wanting for a long time. But honestly, there are other games out there. I personally leave the COD multiplayer for the sweats. Cause it's gotten way too hard to compete if you're casual. And make no mistake, I AM a casual.

Call me oldfart if you wish, but MW2019 was the last COD game i actually came to enjoy:( still, nothing will ever beat the original trilogy.
Aside of campaign, multiplayer was what it should have always been - pure fun gunfire gameplay.
No shitty microtransactions, no operators like Nicki Minaj (for freaking real?!), no stupid weapons skins, etcetera.
They used to make games for players - now they make games only for themselves - to earn as much dough as possible.

COD mw2 2009 is the best cod, ever, period

I think a big part of what’s killing cod since they tried this marvel styled reboot universe by connecting the MW19 and Black Ops storylines together, it’s taking away new concept ideas.

A cool concept would be a game set in the original modern warfare universe, playing as a police officer leading American resistance fighters against the Russian invasion in places like Texas or Florida. It would develop a new approach and style of gameplay. It doesn’t have to be set in the current universe.
