I think nearly everyone with locs has this issue . Of course, in various degrees. That's why majority of the comments are respectful. I never had this issue until i got locs. It's not as flakey, but i do have a dry scalp with some dandruff. I combat it by washing my hair whenever it feels dry. I use water soluble shampoo without silicants to prevent build-up.

I did a brown sugar olive oil scrub to combat this recently and it worked.
