ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьNo matter how many times i try i simply cannot get to the Observer self 😢
ОтветитьAnxiety is not important, let it go. Make sure you know thoughts as real thoughts or they just being made up by your mind.invite positive change.
ОтветитьThank You Emma for this information.. Thoughts are just thoughts and they are not who we are..
ОтветитьPeople have a choice of focusing on their energy on the negative or on the positive. I had a girlfriend 40 years ago that was drop dead gorgeous, like a little gymnast cheerleader. Every guy passing by told her how drop dead gorgeous she was. One day at a party, instead of focusing on how pretty everyone thinks she was, she focused only on the zit she got on her forehead. The tiny thing consumed her and all she could talk about at the party was how it embarrassed her. She spent the whole day walking around with her hand over her forehead and explaining why. That continued long after the party was over. 30 years later on Facebook I found her negative thinking had destroyed her health. It is not mental illness, it is a choice.
ОтветитьThank you so very much!! You have great ideas!!
ОтветитьHow do you deal with over thinking and having bodily sensations that trigger anxiety?
ОтветитьI try it like this - I imagine myself standing up behind or to the side of - myself, speaking out the thoughts I am having - and I hear my voice and see myself speaking these thoughts - and I can see how silly they are or how useless they ares or unimportant they are - and like a best friend - I would talk to myself like I'm talking to my best friend giving him (me) good advice - Like how you, yourself give the best advice to your best friends and you tell them the truth about the matter to help your friend think more clearly - be your own best friend and be honest with yourselves like a best friend would
ОтветитьIsn't this the same skill schizophrenic use to take the power away from their delusions and or the voices they hear? I think to a small part we're all schizophrenic we just recognize that it's our thoughts and not some random evil thing or the voice of God. Why are we so wired to self criticize instead of self-care and self-promotion? I had to learn to not "should" on myself, and every time it happened I smack myself in the middle of my forehead and said stop it. It works.
ОтветитьFocus on managing the present. What can you get done right now.
ОтветитьExperienced
ОтветитьThanks!

ОтветитьIm 70 years old. I live alone. It's extremely hard not to reflect on all my mistakes in life. Not to mention health issues. One day at a time.
ОтветитьLove the sports commentary analogy. Perfectly accurate.
ОтветитьImagine your finger pressing down the back of your tongue. Or use a toothpick to pin it down.
Thinking is an internalized lower vibration, heard by the inner ear. It is of the same function that is our outward speech.
You must plan so start overthinking.
Ответить"pushing rope" is a euphemism

Ответитьwow, this woman gets me !!
ОтветитьMy issue is feeling sick causes anxiety, but the symptoms of anxiety make me feel sick, never ending cycle.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThe hard part of doing this is when you believe in some God or religion and that religion is a judgemental prick insisting that you will be punished for your thoughts or that your thoughts, as opposed to actions, define who you are and what your worth is. Truly, being in religious circles can sometimes backfire disastrously. One almost wishes to scream into the sky "if God made this world he must be able to understand basic human psychology right, and if he made me he must be able to take some responsibility for his creation". Faith is good, religion is sketchy at best. Religion hurts inquisitive, imaginative and creative minds the most. Also, jokes on religious topics "are not allowed". What was supposed to be cheap, mass psychotherapy (faith and detachment) becomes a vile intrusive monster (personal vendetta by God, judgement and punishment).
Ответитьi love you
ОтветитьMindfulness is also a cognitive defusion technique
ОтветитьI love how all of these medical mysteries have something to do with food! Thank you so much for sharing these with us <3
ОтветитьI get so calm as you speak. Thank you so much for this video 🙏🏼
ОтветитьThis is all well and good, but it doesn't help much when you know you could have had hundreds of thousands of more dollars in savings should you have not made a decision to sell something years ago... it's not as simple as just singing it away.
If someone is imagining something trivial, like anxiety about speaking engagements, meh... that's peanuts compared to actual serious life and death, career, retirement matters that singing away doesn't always do justice to.
If we aren't our thoughts, then what are we? Are we just our body? Are we our values? Does it matter how we define who or what we are?
ОтветитьHow can I have u as a therapist?? Is that even possible?? Please let me know, I have insurance
