Riften was a bit too big in ESO online imo.

Honestly I always loved that they scaled up the cities in ESO. My one gripe with Skyrim was always how small and barely populated everything felt. The lore says how significant cities like Whiterun, Windhelm and Solitude are but they just feel like small villages with like 30 people living there.

So overall, ESO's Skyrim is bigger and less "destroyed" compared to ES5, it makes sense due to ESO being earlier in the timeline

feel like some of the areas in ESO look better. However, there are many areas I definitely think Skyrim has much more detail in, mostly inside buildings. There seems to be more clutter. The lighting feels better in with a dark and grittier tone. ESO just feels too mate in its lighting with not enough shadows if that makes any sense.. but I also understand being an MMO game that most people are not going to have ballin PCs and internet playing this, so I guess that makes sense they would have to cut some corners.

Looking how ESO is scaled up i feel small compared to skyrim with my 188cm tall characters

I love how some the entire Skyrim expansion in ESO shares the name with a completely destroyed Irrelevant bandit invested fort in the middle of whiterun hold.

I will always take a singleplayer rpg over it's mmo counterpart. MMO's can't match their singleplayer counterparts in immersion.

It'd have been funny if the moment you cross the border into skyrim, you had a "flash forward" where you find yourself in a cart riding down the road when you suddenly hear a strange blonde nord utter the words "Hey, you, you're finally awake." Before coming back to reality. That would've been entertaining I think.

I prefer skyrim as a realisic dark fantasy game. Eso just feel to cartoon for my taste

I’ve got to say, while I prefer Skyrim to ESO, the ESO version of Solitude is far superior. It is also even more realistic and therefore immersive, as are the windmills- which were awful in Skyrim. Someone needs to make a mod to add ESO Solitude to Skyrim.

Architecture in ESO is identical and similar and kept most of it true to its original counterpart compared to Skyrim. Major change is the scale of the buildings and landscapes which is to accomodate the multiplayer in ESO. Although not scale accurate in some interior/landscape potrayal, it is still impressive.

The headman's block is actually the area where you turn in crafting writs in ESO. I made a joke about this in zone chat, yesterday, and for the next half hour it was nothing but Skyrim jokes lol. It's almost the same reaction as making a Jawa pun in any SWTOR chat lol

in one year some modders ported or remake the original skyrim so it looks like ESO´s XD

The textures they used in ESO are just incredibly jarring. Harsh on the eyes.
Skyrim also has more of an atmosphere with they lighting.
ESO looks clearer, but lacks the vibe.

By early access, you mean you are on PTS like me?.... i have a hard time bringing myself to play regular servers on pc. I'm addicted to PTS. Please help.






Seriously though. Pro tip: If you enjoy this game you should definitely install the Public Test Server. If there's ever a month where you have to drop your ESO Plus, you'll have access to all DLC. It won't count toward your character on regular servers, and every time they update PTS they wipe the characters. Onthe bright side you don't have to start from scratch. You can create a max level character, or a lvl 20, or a lvl 1. If you choose a maxed out character, you have a bunch of things in your "supplies" as soon as you spawn so you can have whatever gear set you need. If it's a crafted set, then you have limitless crafting mats in there too. Thus it's also perfect if you ever wanted to test a specific build idea.

ESO takes place before Skyrim it’s only normal that things would be different ya know

I bought ESO after seing you can basically avoid almost all the MP shit and play like its SP but boy was i dissapointed. Except the looks, lore, story and soundtrack it has nothing to make you feel like playing a TES game.
I know it's becouse it's a different genre but still i expected it to atleast feel like a TES game. It doesn't. It has insane amounts of quest that are amazing but still...it lacks soul that elder scrolls have. It can't even compare.

Well riften still kinda fits becuse riften burnt to the ground in a peasant revolt and was rebuilt by the blackbriars
