I often hear this song and every time I cry. Not from grief, but from the fact that I am happy. I am happy because this wonderful world exists. Even while I'm typing this, I'm roaring. Thanks to Christopher Tin for this masterpiece. Thank you to the whole world for the fact that you, all 8 billion people, exist. I am glad that we are all building a wonderful future together, even despite the troubles that meet us in the course of history.

Years ago I wrote an e-mail. On the webpage there had been sheets for all kinds of instruments for sale but not for my clarinet. As I play a Bb-Clarinet I needed fitting sheets... and manual transposition with pen and blank sheets just sucks! 😂 You won't believe what happened: I got a reply from Christopher Tin personally advising me which one to chose.... I have saved that e-mail! 😉

This song never ceases to raise my spirits! I cannot even count the number of times I've pointed friends to this video: I like it best because it's the original recording, sung by the excellent Soweto Gospel Choir - so fitting, since the lyrics are the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. Christopher Tin is a gift to the universe!

I don’t think a piece of video game music (maybe even music as a whole) has inspired me more since I remember hearing the music in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Both soundtracks give of a beautiful feeling of adventure, discovery and feeling big and at the same time small. I listen to them and I am given hope that we can continue to build and become stronger as a species. If I have any advice to anyone reading this, don’t give up on the world! Mankind has been though many rough patches, but things have always bounced back! Never give up and never give in! Keep improving and building a better world for all!
