Blackmagic BMPCC 6K Pro - The Best LOW BUDGET Cinema Camera

this camera abilities are jawdropping. it offers the best money can buy . absolutely i can go over the blue-ish tint on the display for how much it has to offer.
can;t justify autofocus and no blue-ish display and pay 10-15k for a camera..

while BM lacks some QC at least they don't pull features like Canon did with 24p or raw from cameras when older versions had it

Lol every one can complain about Black magic but I believe Red which cost 10x more has tones of issues as well even until this very day.

I am getting back into filming my own hunts and would primarily use this on a tripod or gimbal. Do you think this would be good for that application or would I be better off looking at Canon or Sony?

I'm just going to point out that the ghost recording Epic Light Media was experiencing was apparently a bug related to the lens and lens mount. I don't know the exact details, but apparently it wasn't unfix-able, as it was supposedly fixed with a firmware patch.

My Original BMPCC had a bent battery latch straight from the box.

I went through 5 copies of the original Ursa Mini 4.6k until I found one which didn’t have a dead/stuck pixel. RMA’ed each time and every time they would send me a new copy with yet another pixel issue until eventually I got a good one.

Bought 3 Ursa Mini Pro G2. 1 had a touch screen issue.

Blackmagic’s customer service has been super helpful every time I’ve had an issue but I’ve had a lot of issues.

One question - arent you supposed to turn the camera off when you remove lenses? Coundnt grains of dust short circuit areas of the sensor? Or does the nd filter protect it?

Just got me 6k pro yesterday. Dead pixels... CHECK...ND filter buttons suddenly stop working after using for an hour.... CHECK.... 7.3.1 firmware update makes my lcd screen have a continuous grain and noise pattern similar to TV static with no lens... CHECK!

Good stuff man! Is it safe to leave a battery in the camera w the titon base attached? I’ve heard stories of other d taps frying ports w a battery left in camera. If it is safe, do you know if the camera will automatically switch over to the internal battery without interruption if the titon dies mid shot? Thanks!

But I have still some questions as it's pretty hard to choose between the 6k and 6k pro haha. I've never had a video camera, so I'm somehow afraid that it will be too heavy with the Pocket 6k Pro (1.2 kg DJI Rs 2 stabilizer, 800g Sigma 18-35 mm, 1.2 kg Pocket 6k Pro, and another battery or SSD.) Do you think that could be the case? Especially when you e.g. film the whole day or when you travel and still have a drone. I also wonder if the 6k Pro's "tilting screen" is really necessary? (I filmed with the Gopro and the cell phone on a stabilizer and never really had any problems, even when I walked very close to the floor. Maybe it's different with the camera, as many 6k users said it is necessary). Buying one later would make less sense, as it costs more and is perhaps even more uncomfortable if you use the stabilizer and fix a "DJI 3D focus system" / microphone on the "head" of the camera. I've already looked a bit on the internet and apparently the 6k Pro fits on the RS 2, but it's not yet entirely clear to me whether that's really true. I have one last question then I say more than thank you; Do you actually need nd filters a lot in filmmaking?

Extremely fair reviews the 6K Pro. Sadly Blackmagic Design has quality control issues which I am absolutely sure they will overcome. Right now I don't think it is the camera for me as I get extremely agitated whenever equipment fail to perform reliably. Perhaps a bit further down the track I will invest in one.

There should be a law that companies have to start more simple naming of new products when they are released. Just use simple numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 etc
