the hook is satire guys haha, although landing a new role is hard. it certainly is NOT the hardest thing in life :)
ОтветитьGoogle Data Analytics is really overhyped. I feel a bit regret in completing it. It is a great starting point but I would rather do other things if I know it beforehand.
ОтветитьI just switched from data analytics to engineering. . It is really amazing
ОтветитьYou are 100% correct about soft skills and office politics. Work isnt a popularity contest, but being adaptable, diplomatic, empathetic, friendly, a good listener, dependable, and having the ability to read the room will take you in the right direction. A front-line position working with the public is a crash course in soft skills.
ОтветитьAdvice regarding office politics is genuine advice. I saw many talented people layed off just because manager don't like them
ОтветитьIs data analyst in High demand ?
ОтветитьOffice politics 😢
ОтветитьWhat is your opinion on Business Anayst? Is there still prospects in future?
Ответитьi appreciate how honest you were about office politics! it's the sad reality. thank you for this video :-)
ОтветитьHi, i'm currently following a minor in marketing data analytics and after i finish my bachelor's degree next year i want to get a masters degree but i'm unsure which one i should get. I am interested in either master data and business analytics or digital driven business
ОтветитьThank you for being honest and helpful
ОтветитьThe most vital part was you just talked about 'office politics'. Sad but true it influences a lot on someone performance. Even I see someone has less quality but 'oiling' boss and maintaining office politics make him priority.
ОтветитьCan u do a roadmap?
ОтветитьThanks for your transparency
ОтветитьNothing harder is a long stretch but yes it is challenging.
ОтветитьSpot on... a young man wise beyond his years. Excellent advice

Ответитьstorytelling is such a valuable asset for data analysts that I got my dream internship, and beat out a lot more experienced candidates, from mostly how I displayed soft skills ( good communication, good storytelling skills, good people skills, team work experience, passion for the sector) the senior vice president of the company said he liked how i explained my passion, likewise my line manager said the same thing. so if you do get to that interview stage, i will say, a personable presence and attitude will get you a long way.
ОтветитьMomen kisska Liya tha😢😢
Ответитьhi rohan, i found your chanel today, great video by the way, it really help me to set my expectation. my I ask you something, as 4 years fullstack web developer, do you think is possible for me to become remote data analyst for US company from indonesia?

Great video man! Out of curiosity how feasible is it for someone to switch between these different data roles if you end up in one role for a decent amount of time? Always worried about being stuck
ОтветитьFax - I spent a lot of time learning SQL, Tableau and Python but my current Data Analyst job also uses Looker and I’ve been learning Looker like no one else’s business. Politics are real too.
ОтветитьHey Rohan, do you think someone in civil engineering can go into data analyst?
Did you ever have regrets for not using your degree?
Hey Rohan, i came across your videos last week. I'm here again today.😅
I'm just starting out on my data analyst journey. Currently learning excel.
I definitely have taken notice of the things you've shared today. Thank you.
I look forward to learning more from you in both future and past videos 😊
Rohan who had what Shashank Kalanithi calls a DINO a Degree in Name Only 😄
Ответитьhey Rohan, Saitama here !
ОтветитьFirst of all, a very informative, helpful, and honest video. I do have a question about the job of a Data Scientist.
I am currently close to graduating from school and I am planning to study Data science at the University of Applied Sciences. I am interested in the field of Data Science, however, I am not the most skilled when it comes to presentations or PowerPoints. I actually try to avoid them if I can. As I saw after investing some time into this topic and as mentioned in this video as well, soft skills/ communication skills are very important later in the job. Do you think a career on this path is still possible/ realistic for me? I would like to focus more on the technical part, similar to a software engineer, and less on the communication part, as I am not a good speaker.
Very informative and honest video. Thank you so much
Ответитьfirst video to ever watch and an immediate subscriber. Thanks mate
