ОтветитьI'm trying to understand. Did Narnia rip off Land of Oz, or vice versa?
ОтветитьYou know in the 80s theater cartoon of Oz
ОтветитьI remember watching that movie as a kid, and loved it!
Later on in life I read ALL of the books. If if you never read the books, the books have dark themes. This movie was close to the theme by Baum
The thing is I didn't really notice that I was scary when I watched it as a kid I absolutely love this movie
ОтветитьI've always liked return to OZ
ОтветитьI just want clamation movies it doesnt have to be a major motion picture series
ОтветитьWhat if jack pumpkin head is jack skelinton before he died, cause jack is the king of pumpkins in death
ОтветитьZordoz
Ответитьsomeone online described this film as “an introduction to horror films for children.”
ОтветитьHeres your 12 hour movie where nothing happens: Waiting for Godot
ОтветитьI bind you Nancy.
Oh wait you already are!
I want James and the Marvel higher ups to work on a Wizard of Oz franchise
ОтветитьThere's also the hip hop version in late 70s with micheal Jackson and dianna Ross called the wiz I like it too but it's also bizarre
ОтветитьThere's the hbo series tin man which was also bizarre but it was more realistic than the other movies
ОтветитьGreat insights!!!
ОтветитьInaccurate trash talk.
ОтветитьNot many people know this: But Land of Oz got a movie in the 60s. Too bad its impressively bad though.
ОтветитьThere’s also a pretty awful 2013 animated sequel to wizard of oz.
ОтветитьI love the book series written by Baum. But why was the Scarecrow a brilliant thinker in book 1 when he didn't even have a brain, and in later books he seems kind of dim-witted? Maybe the Wizard in the movie was right when he said that he'd be better off without a brain, LOL.
ОтветитьThe OZ tv series on HBO, which book was that based on?
Ответитьi think Dorothy has a strong imagination
ОтветитьI saw Return to Oz in Radio City Music Hall at 5 years old. I wasn’t traumatized. I just wondered why everything wasn’t visually identical to the 1939 version. I didn’t understand why two productions made years apart by different film companies would be so different from one another.
ОтветитьI watched this review back when it aired but I had never seen Return to Oz. I just now watched it on Disney+ and came back here to hear Jame's thoughts. Great review! But, I realized that this aired 5 years ago... now I feel old 😕
ОтветитьHEY DO MORE OF DESE
ОтветитьThere was an oz based show called tin man
ОтветитьWow, man. You really like this movie. I might need to give it a rewatch.
ОтветитьReturn to OZ is literally a story about a girl undergoing MK monarch torture.
All the signs are there.
But did you notice?
Dorothy "begins her journey to OZ" when the power goes out.
Thats when Dorothy passes out from the ELECTRO shock.
We just dont see that.
We see what Dorothy sees in her head.
Re the 12 hour movie: I'd buy that.
ОтветитьReturn to Oz is my 3-year-old daughter’s favorite movie.
ОтветитьThis movie blew my mind as a kid and I couldn't wait for the next one.... and it never came. I was so sad people never wanted to see OZ get even wilder.
ОтветитьI really like this
ОтветитьI really enjoy being scared of this film
ОтветитьLand of the Winkies???? What??? Lol
ОтветитьDon't care what anybody says I loved this movie.Should've done more.Instead we get f*cking Harry Potter.
ОтветитьThe World of OZ would make for a sick TTRPG.
ОтветитьI loved Return To Oz when I was a kid because of how bizarre it was. This and Nothing But Trouble are two of my favorite weird movies.
Ответить“He painted a river so realistic he fell and drowned in it” yea mind repeating that
ОтветитьWas return to oz intended for children, if so what was wrong with the writers.
ОтветитьI prefer Return to Oz
The OG wizard of Oz isn’t my thing
ive literally seen all your content, how did i miss it.
ОтветитьI'm surprised that James hasn't reviewed the Alice books yet
ОтветитьI would love to see more book reviews here, books are always neglected online so it's nice to hear James discuss the ones he cares about.
ОтветитьThe Wizard of Oz (1939)- MGM
Return to Oz (1985)- Walt Disney Pictures
Watched it today! Loved it!
