Hmm, for 1987 I would've easily gone with 'Among The Living-Anthrax' (THE 'pinnacle' of thrash metal, folks!), 1988 I agree with many others on here when they mentioned 'Operation: Mindcrime' from Queensryche (also one of the best concept albums EVER made, period), and 1989 I feel 'Gretchen Goes To Nebraska' by King's X doesn't get the credit it fully deserves from the metal community as far as being one of the most influential albums of its era. Glad you put Black Sabbath "front-and-center" to start off the '70s! Got every single one of those releases, too...
😁🤘
¿Where is Slayer's Reign in Blood Album? Ohh the disrespect.👎
ОтветитьBy the time Painkiller release, can't be another album on top of this
ОтветитьVoivod is missing... what else? There might be some few. King Crimson, Rush are more progressive rock but still good
Ответить89’ and 93’ ✨
ОтветитьDónde está Painkiller? Este lista está totalmente invalida.
ОтветитьBlack Sabbath is not better than paranoid
Ответить2004 is Ashes of the Wake
Ответить2019 should have been Fear Inoclulum TBH
ОтветитьI respect a lot of the 97-23 picks but i was a bit shocked to not see a single one of these power metal albums. Like out of all these id think one would make the list. I respect it tho you seem to prefer death styles more which makes sense. Fucking love death and Children of Bodom
But anyways what about?
'92 Somewhere Far Beyond
'93 Angels Cry
'96 The Jester Race
'97 Visions
'98 Symphony of Enchanted Lands
'00 Dawn of Victory
'02 Holy War
'03 Valley of the Damned
'04 Sonic Firestorm
'05 Inhuman Rampage
'07 Dark Passion Play
'08 Ultra Beatdown
'09 No Sacrifice No Victory
'11 Amaranthe
'12 The Power Within
'14 Massive Addictive
'15 Blessed & Possessed
'17 Immortals
'18 The Sacrament of Sin
'19 The Eighth Mountain
'20 Manifest
'21 The Unknown
'23 Forgone
i feel like the year 1990 is often seen as the year when "rust in peace" came out... but to be honest there are quite a few great album from that year. just to name a few:
-"Painkiller" Judas Priest
-"Seasons in the Abyss" Slayer
-"Cowboys from Hell" Pantera
-"Spiritual Healing" Death
-"Persistence of time" Anthrax
I'm sure there are more but those are the ones that came to my head
Painkiller not being the best for 1990 is absolutely fucking criminal. That Megadeth album does not even compare to Painkiller, barely anything in the genre does.
ОтветитьCrack the Skye by Mastodon should’ve won 2009. It’s a prog metal masterpiece with an incredible concept and gorgeous instrumentation. The Czar is one of the best prog songs ever.
Ответить2005 - obviously it was Death - Symbolic.
Not that sh*t in the video
No way was Ozzys debut the best album of 1980. In a year of many great releases its between Sabbaths Heaven an Hell or AC DC with Back in Black, '78 was surely the year of the Powerage album.
ОтветитьDefinitely would not want to ride in a car with this list maker.....😂😂
ОтветитьSt. Anger album cover as the best album of a year is the best click bait Ever😂😂😂😂!
ОтветитьAfter 2000 it sounded like one song!!..all shite!!😂😂😂
ОтветитьGreat list! Although it would be fun if you can only choose one album from a band.
ОтветитьMy opinion (from the top of my head so there are most likely much better albums, even to me)
1990: Painkiller (Judas Priest)
2000: Clayman (In Flames)
2002: The Metal Opera, Pt2 (Avantasia)
2005: Ten Thousand Fists (Disturbed
2008: Dead By April (Dead By April)
2012: Carolus Rex (Sabaton
2017: Phoenix (Nocturnal Rites) / Berserker (Beast In Black)
2018: Firepower (JP)
2019: Berserker (Amon Amarth) / I, The Mask (In Flames)
2021: Creatures of the Dark Realm (Bloodbound)
2022: TWtEAW (Sabaton)
2023: Forgone (IF)
I would have put Operation Mindcrime for 88 and not sure about King Crimson, but good list otherwise.
Ответить96 - Sepultura Roots
ОтветитьDeveria ter o Operation Mind Crime
Ответить2023 should have been petrodragonic apocalypse imo
ОтветитьБред. Чувак пытается лезть со своим уставом во все существующие монастыри
ОтветитьAlways the mainstream = 0 personality
ОтветитьNot a single Gojira album ? T_T
Ответить1988 should be ajfa
ОтветитьIf there was no Black Album, Arise would be on list. And I think Far Beyond Driven is far beyond the most.
ОтветитьHehe według gustu ..brak Slayer a taki syf jak Rush itp ....
ОтветитьI came to see if St Anger was really on that list! Hahahaha! But did you remember At The Gates!
ОтветитьGojira?! Come on! 2001 is ok with Toxicity.
ОтветитьI think 2019 goes to Kostolom from Slaughter to prevail
Ответить1988 Operation Mindrime QUEENSRYCHE
Ответить1990 Painkiller - Judas Priest 🎤🔥🤘🎸
ОтветитьI FREAKING LOVE GHOST YEEEEEEESSESEEWWWWWAAAW
ОтветитьSurely Symbolic - Death is the greatest album of 1995?
ОтветитьLooks like a fail to me..
No Slayer? Reign in Blood and South of Heaven are standard, required listening..
And NO MELVINS?
without Melvins there wouldn't have been Mastodon and many more...
A swing...
And a miss
ROOTS BLOODY ROOTS: 1996
ОтветитьSo many ppl rage clicked at thumb nail of st anger for 03. Well played sir 😂
ОтветитьNice Mainstream List 😉
ОтветитьWait...didn't South of Heaven come out in 1988? Not on the list!??
ОтветитьSoad is not metal
ОтветитьMost of that albums are not metal. The Most Hard Rock. Rush moving Pictures metal? King Crimson Red metal? Metal does not even exist at that time!!!
ОтветитьNo Candlemass? No Voi Vod?
Ответитьand NOT anthrax...please
Ответить1980 and 1981 are jacked up big time
ОтветитьYeah, Nah...😕
