Is it recommended to use this new version? I'm unfamiliar with it and I'm used to the 8.9.1 version. I'm planning to build an app with Firebase Firestore in a short amount of time so learning it again may be difficult. These are the functions that I may only really use; CRUD and distributed counters for the inventory done without cloud functions

Excellent micro-lesson -- Yes! It does feel weird right now... sooooo different from all the chaining in v8.*... I think it would help if you took a common v8.* app and migrated it to v9.* to see what goes, what stays, and what changes. I keep getting stuck with using modules, error checking, and removing <script> tags. Migration is messy! LOL
