Why is there so much alcohol in the background? Is someone alcoholic?😂
ОтветитьEverything bespoke except the brain, it has spoken,,dumb
Ответитьif someone in the US orders a bespoke suit to be made in UK, does he need to pay the VAT?
Ответить'''very unique'' - something is either unique or it isn't - there are no degrees
ОтветитьThanks. I would love to see an update in 2024 .
Ответитьinteresting
ОтветитьWe need a Parisian part two
ОтветитьDo you know who tailored Sean Connery's clothing for Bond?
ОтветитьKirby your channel remains a favorite of mine…
Those of you enjoying going the cheap way with China/India Taylor’s might not understand 💰is not driving everyone’s purchases. If it were I’d drive a Toyota. The experience far surpasses any savings, if money were of concern I would not travel to London for wardrobe, now would I.
I thought I understood what bespoke was and I say was because after watching this evidently I did not. I just recently purchase what I thought was my first bespoke suit but it custom. Have not even worn it yet. Did a lot of measurements and picking out exactly how I want the suit but it was only 1 fitting and only ulteration needed was the waist on the trousers. I was so happy I ordered two more. Now taking a step back in understanding there are levels to this and I have more learning to do and will be seeking a true Bespoke. Would you say Michael Andrews Bespoke located in NYC is a true bespoke or customs.
ОтветитьAs an aspiring gentleman attempting raise my station in life your videos have been invaluable. Thank you Kirby.
ОтветитьThese suits are very impressive...yet they tend to depreciate as the years go by...
ОтветитьWhen you look at the price of a Bespoke suit from the guy that made most of the suits for a prince and then compare it to a suit made by a fashion house they seem like so much better value. People need to wake up to handmade products and the value they can offer.
ОтветитьNo Maurice Sedwell/Sir Andrew Ramroop?
ОтветитьVery cool
Ответитьwhat happened to Kilgour?
ОтветитьThis is a little late for me. I only understand the significance of this tailoring since following this chanel. In 2000 I picked up 2 from a thrift shop for less thsn 20 pounds. Unfortunately I gained a few pounds and gifted to our local Salvation Army if I had this knowledge I would lose the weight rather than gave them away.
ОтветитьYou get what you pay for, its a life long investment
Ответить$2100 very accessible? I think you need a reality check!
Being a reasonable price for a type of product does not equate to it being accessible! £50,000 for a Ferrari may be a good price for a Ferrari, doesn’t mean many people can afford it!
Something I haven’t understood is how people find the time to go get a bespoke fitting done, especially in another country. Do people just take time off work using PTO or something to get these done? Something I want to do someday, but I just don’t quite understand the time commitment and finding when people go.
ОтветитьExcellent video, very informative! Thank you for the good work guys
ОтветитьVAT is 20%. That raises these prices significantly.
ОтветитьI'm a bit surprised. Don't get me wrong as everything here is very expensive -- I'm a mere PhD student, so everything is way out of my budget 😂 -- but I was seriously expecting at least >7-8K USD at the lower end.
Frankly, when you think about what people buy as toys for their own pleasure -- gaming computers, ATVs, boats, etc. -- it's not that bad. It makes me think that maybe one day I'll have the pleasure of having some custom garments made.
If anyone out there finds these are within budget, please do enjoy on all our behalf. I'm always happy to see someone find a great piece that they like and enjoy wearing -- it reminds me of things like subtling over a great suit in a thrift store or winning awards and it makes me smile knowing someone else gets that excitment too.
Cheers gentlemen! Back to my study -- it needs to be done if I want to buy stuff later. 😂
I’m poor and even I think that £3,500 is reasonable for a Kent & Haste, heck £3,500 to heat the stories alone would be money well spent
ОтветитьPeople think that these kinds of prices ae expensive. I want to prove them wrong: Let's say you wear a suit for $5,000 for 15 years. You end up spending $28 times 180 months. Go to Zara and wear a $250 suit: It does not fit, the fabric is shit and I do not even intend on touching on the moral aspect here (labour). If you work a white collar job or if you even are an entrepreneur in the finance sector, you will be happy to have 2 to 4 suits instead of 10 Zara suits. In most jurisdictions it is a tax deductible too.
ОтветитьExcellent video Kirby price is such an interesting topic on this subject
Ответитьproblem is, British tailoring is too formal for the current world, the gap is too big, the only way to go these days is Neapolitan with their light fabrics, natural shoulders and open quarters, and while AS and some others have softened their lines and infused their house style with a bit of Italian, it's still too stiff upper lip.
ОтветитьVery impressive information on the Besopkes Tailors in Eengland . Was wondering about Rolph Lauren Suits and Blazers I have a Navy Pea Coat from him I also love the more expensive pea coat
ОтветитьNearly hundred years , then we see 1860.. so way more than a hundred then
Ответить$5000 for a suit😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 if you pay that then you have more money than sense… that markup must be around 250% profit… it’s gullible, rich fools like yourself
ОтветитьTHAILAND HERE I COME 😂
ОтветитьThe price doesn't account for the airfare to London and the hotel rooms. Just for that, do you book for business class or first class on BA or Virgin?
ОтветитьForgive my ignorance but what is the difference in the product between the price point of $2k from Divij vs the $9k from Leonard Logsdail? Wouldn't all bespoke suits have a perfect fitting pattern unique to me?
ОтветитьHaving the prices to actually look at makes it a lot less daunting!
ОтветитьGreat Information!
ОтветитьLogsdail - is it pronounced 'LONGsdail'?
ОтветитьMaurice Sedwell needed on that list.
ОтветитьHi Kirby,
I have had really bad experiences with made-to-measure and bespoke.
I really enjoyed your "bespoke suit 2022 pricing roundup", very informative. I definitely will try out one or two on the list. Thanks for putting the list together. Keep up the great work.
Richard’s Bespoke out of Nashville. Would love to see a collaboration. Young guy who has similar passion as you Kirby!
ОтветитьWhy is Huntsman NYC more expensive than Huntsman London?
ОтветитьHoly smokes! Some expensive attire, but when you think about the amount of work that goes into creating it, it’s much better spent with a real tailor than buying something premade off a showroom floor. Gotta have a real bespoke suit made someday… I think I’ll have to keep it in the $2-3,000 range though 😁
ОтветитьTake a shot everyone he says “bespoke suit”
ОтветитьKirby, would love for you to visit Christopher Schafer in Baltimore. Bespoke and entirely crafted in his shop.
ОтветитьThank you for helping to keep the bespoke industry made aware to others . I’m near NY now and although a born and raised NYer I was not aware of these suitmakers.
ОтветитьJust as Kirby was about to discuss the $9500+ Huntsman suit, I got an ad for a hoodie.
ОтветитьIf I ever needed a suit, I'd take one off the rack...just because I can't afford bespoke suits...my budget simply says no, even with savings
Ответить🤜🏽🤛🏽
ОтветитьKeep In Mind Guys; For This Understanding; And Knowledge That We Are Acquiring; We Would Be Wise To Cite and Recognize Our Citing For The Future; This Would Be Most Wise For All Parties!!!!
ОтветитьKent and Haste. My next suite, done.
