The game looks so beautiful! I also just wanted to mention that instead of calling yourself a designer you should call yourself a developer. You're doing soooo much more than just designing so you should use a label that reflects thats. Dont sell yourself short!

i have a suggestion : when you showed the inventory i noticed that some of the items such as the rocks had the same color/looked the same and i feel like it could be easy to miss / hard to find when trying to find a specific item. also someone already commented this but the snow animation is a bit fast and i agree that if it was slower the game would feel more cozy. i’m excited to see how this game turns out❤️ much love.

It would be nice for the main menu to have an animated background of a snowy landscape. A giant Crimson moon, snowing and or shooting stars would look great.

You know, they a lot of people say to design the game art and UI last. But you designed them first. And you know what? That's completely valid. It's your game. As long as you complete it, the order doesn't really matter. You can add all the fun stuff in first if you want to. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

It reminds me a bit of the style of Pillars of Eternity RPG

I almost feel as if you should have modeled this instead. I think a slight 3D paralax look would have brought this to teh next level.

It's interesting to see what takes priority for artists. As a programmer, I always work on the meat of the game/app. Trying to get a workable playtest going before anything, but that forgoes all of the mood and setting.

Your definition of a cozy look is my definition of haunted look. I get ghost vibes from the house, and the wall of trees outside the house remind me of The Shining XD

did you learn how to code in the masters program or did you learn that on your own? im thinking about what to study for masters and VCD was on my list of programs that i wanted to look in to. i have a BA in animation and i love game design so to me it looks like the best of both worlds but coding worries me a bit since i only have a high school experience with HTLM language. please help me.

I just LOVE the graphics!

A few years ago I had the same idea. Set in a more Tim Burton-ish world, but the concept was the same. Sadly I didn't have the tools and skills needed, so I had to renounce.
Watching a similar project taking life through the hands of a talented creator like you is heart-warming and encouraging for me.
