2000 ish dollars in 3 days. But the price of gas to run your waterpump.

Place a pan for tailings under the end of the sluice to catch most of the gold that misses the mats, pan it off when finished.

I have one of these high bankers they are amazing

One day when I move back to BC, I'll go to the Fraser and try to pan some gold, even if it's just 0.2grams of it =D

When you add in the time of prospecting, panning, loading equipment, set up etc. I suspect it would be much longer process not to mention most people won't find gold at all in many spots, most spots in fact.

For those that don't know, on your iPhone with the compass on the next page there is a gradient level. Good for field measuring and shot gunning for estimations. Although it's pretty accurate. Hope it helps, would be good for leveling your sluice boxes or highbankers without extra tools to haul
