When trying the single core my frequencies were ALL over the place. Its a 5600.
Ответитьmy single core test keeps jumping back and forth from top 2 cores will NOT stay consistent like urs on 1 core
what do i do?
My pc requires me to reboot every single time I hit Apply... This is unusable...
ОтветитьI got to the point after downloading cinebench and hitting apply to default and my pc freezes. Restarted and tried again and same thing. Is there a setting in the BIOS I am missing?
ОтветитьFor some reason I can only adjust the PPT and TDC Values. I can't increase the EDC because the "increase" arrow is greyed out. It will only let me decrease it. Any Idea why? I'm running a 5900x on ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Pro with the latest BIOS.
ОтветитьThanks. After playing a bit with those values on my 5600x got extra 1k points in cinebench compared to default PBO settings
ОтветитьI couldn't find anything that was as helpful as this video. Most of the "guides" I looked at just said "set EDC (or whatever) from x to y depending on your cpu" without explaining what the heck that was for. Thanks for this.
ОтветитьMy R9 5900x 10 ,11 and 12th cores are running at a third or lower of the 4,500 range. Core 11 fluctuates between sleep and about 1,300. The maximumTDC is only 160. EDC 190 ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Pro with the latest BIOS
ОтветитьIs it normal for all of my cores to drop to 3.8Ghz or less when running a benchmark like R20? It seems like the more load on the CPU the slower it gets. I have a 5950X, ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero, Corsair AX1200 PSU, Elite Capellix H150i with a 320mm radiator and excellent airflow from multiple fans through the case so it's not a thermal issue. My max temps under 100% all core load is 72C. My thermal limit in PBO is 90C. PPT\TDC\EDC are 250\160\160. Two best cores in CO are -12, the rest of CCD1 are -16, and CCD2 are all -20. I have preferred cores\CPPC enabled.
ОтветитьWhat is your bios settings?? Also mine is jumping around a lot in my preferred single core number 2. how do I fix that it's hard to gage the frequency when it keeps going to sleep while cinebench is running
ОтветитьAnyone know why my stock PPT is 76 for a ryzen 9 5900??
ОтветитьAre these values true because at 90 it’ll be throttling.
ОтветитьThank you for this series. I am running a AMD for the first time and I was lost on the amd setups. What Bios setting do you set before running Ryzen master?
ОтветитьI am probably doing something wrong, coz Default settings bring be better results than the max PBO values...
Default gives me 4.29 Mhz while max PBO dont even reach 4 Mhz.
My single core testing keeps bouncing between my best and second best cores. I guess this means my multi-core values are not set right?
ОтветитьTurned PBO on, it did nothing, my PPT maxes at 1000, i can't max EDC or TDC, do power plans or bios settings have an influence? Ryzen 9 3900x
ОтветитьIs there a video before this where you show your BIOS? I think your default should be running lower and you seem to have had a head start.
ОтветитьExcellente!
ОтветитьI know Iam kinda late but letting the CPU have almost 90° while gaming is not pleasant at all.
With no AC and these settings you would kill the cpu during the summer.
I got a 5900x recently really cheap and Iam still looking for the best settings. Iam using the stock PBO settings (higher ones are not giving really much performance, just heat) adjusted curve optimizer (Iam still at it, core cycler takes forever to test each core), boost clock override +200 and Iam hitting aroumd 22k multicore and 1,7k single core. Max temp in cinebench 65° and 74/75° while stress testing with core cycler.
Cooler: Liquid Freezer II 360.
Is this it? Or am I missing something.
This is weird. When I click APPLY, it always asks me to restart the computer before the settings take effect. How come yours doesnt?
ОтветитьThank you so much! I increase my multicore speed from 4.2 to 4.3ghz following your guide. Single core 4.85ghz and max temp only at 59c. You made it so ez to understand compare to other videos and guides. You deserve millions of subs!
Ответитьevery time i change a setting it says i have to reboot... how come you dont?
ОтветитьGreat job, my friend! I have an ASUS ROG 450F gaming and, except the single test, the 5900x enter in throtle mode from time to time. But I worked in Ryzen to llower my temp, since I am quite satisfied with performance.
Ответитьim dyslexic and i was still able to understand this madness that is ryzen master
ОтветитьDon't know how to get to the cinebench download that you used. I had to download a 4gb file from maxon's website.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, I really enjoyed it and even started my own table to play around with my R 5600.
ОтветитьCan someone explain why PPT shows 2% of 1000W??
And TDC is showing 0% of 1000A??
I have a 5700x on a Asus ROG strix b550-f gaming motherboard.
My first run of Cinebench and my CCD 0 and CCD! values are 3.5, Temp 62, Peak 3.58, PPT 91, CPU PWR 99.5, SOC Telemetry PWR 8.3, TDC100, EDC 100, CPU Telemetry Vltg 1.45, SOC Telemetry Vltg 0.975 Ryzen 9 5950x, I am coming way under your numbers. Could this be the silicon lottery then. I am redoing video 3 again just to verify.
Ответитьmy single core jumps around like its nobodies business, it goes from 4.8 to 2.7 and switches cores does something similar, no settings changes I make seem to fix it.
ОтветитьFinally someone shows (almost) everything. Oh, you're showing per-core undervolting in another video. Awesome.
ОтветитьDoes this work 2 years later for 7700x? Whenever I change values and hit apply, it restarts the pc to apply it.
Ответитьnot sure if its because ryzen master had an update but everytime i try to apply to change PPT TTC and EDC i have to restart for it to apply was there a way to change that?
ОтветитьHI! Congratulations on your collection of evidence. I know a lot of time has passed, but I wanted to ask you something: those three values, 395watt, 255A and 200A, I understand that they were the maximum that was in Ryzen Master, but where do they come from?
ОтветитьI don't know why this irritated me so much but you literally never explained what the fuck "Mirrored Values? Higher Values?" even meant, but you flashed it on the screen over and over again.
Ответитьryzen master gives me lower TDC and EDC Valies which are 145 and 175 max.... my bard can do 300 Amps.. at VRM
ОтветитьWhat an incredible wealth of information these videos have been, thank you!
I am curious though about your process for dialing in single-core performance, because at least on my 5900X the CineBench work load bounces back and forth between two of my cores, the two Windows-preferred cores. So it's basically impossible to get a good reading of my average clock speed.
Why does my PPT and TDC say 10000 and 10000 respectively as defaults? Is there something I am missing in RM or in the BIOS?
ОтветитьCurrently running this however, I encounter an issue with not being able to increase the values? Does that lead to the results in my bios setting?
Ответитьis it safe to go over 100% EDC usage? i managed to get 20+ more hz 105% more edc usage and keeps climbing as i drop the EDC value even lower to 113% usage. 135A EDC @100%, 130a @103% +20-30hz, 120a @113% +5-10hz. Was wondering what kind of effects would happen if i stayed over the 101% mark
Ответитьthis video is perfect. i tuned my 5900x and its perfect! thank you for the vid!
Ответитьif anyone is having issues with ryzen master requesting a full restart from changing only the pbo limits, theres a setting in Ryzen Master that writes changes directly to bios when you press apply.
ОтветитьRyzen Master I heard is hard to uninstall.
ОтветитьFollowed this to the tee. Found near zero advantage to the MHz during the CR23 runs. And the score was going down!
But your tuning got the max V below 1.40 and the temps down, so I was already impressed. Then I ran PCMark and saw boost speeds AND durations that were brand new. Score improved by over 5%. Thanks!
R5 3600x, ROG B450 Gaming II, GTX 1060 6GB
In times of climate change, you want to use as much energy as possible???
ОтветитьNot sure what has changed wiht Ryzen Master but I cannot disable the write to bios options in settings. When i disable the Write PBO to bios or CO to bios option and hit OK it restarts my system and fails to save the setting changes. As soon as i try to apply a change like setting my PTT/TDC/EDC to make it triggers a restart of my system.
ОтветитьWhat does this do? You could have explained the working principle of this function? Too me it just looks like that you are imposing limits so the motherboard wont blow up if the cpu fails? How is this impacting boost behaviour?
ОтветитьBro my EDC is at 90 but my ryzen master is showing its using 115% my cores are getting 4.4 to 4.5 but when I go up for like 100 it goes down to 4.2 - 4.3 what should i do??
ОтветитьSo I tried changing to my max. And it just applies a percentage relative the default. So ppt is 162 default. I take to max 1000. It is only 9% nothing changes anywhere lol. What am I doing wrong
Ответить
