Dave Grohl on Working With John Paul Jones (2005 Interview)

That guy isn't even in the same league as JPJ.

I'll raise a shot of Brennivin just for hearing the phrase "He played Mellotron on one."

I had to hold my breath through Grohl to get to Jones.

JPJ is groovy

I don't but Grohl makes making big look like easy peasy walk in the park

JPJ is a servant to the song. Among the most admirable and god-like qualities that can be found in people around the globe.

JPJ just also happens to have an inescapable sense of rhythm and melody. Oh, and he’s probably played 5,000 live shows. Oh and he also has been piano since 5 and writing orchestral arrangements since he was 18. Oh and his parents were both successful touring musicians. Oh and he also went to boarding school and saw his parents MUCH less than normal…it’s like a motor in his brain driving him to write interesting music to share with his parents he both resented and idolized.
